The Chair

Years ago I was out on Route 1 in Virginia at a place called Zed’s. Typical yuppie hangout, decent drinks and a band. The place was about three quarters full and I spotted a table back in a corner with a young redhead sitting all alone. She was a bigger girl with a nice face and a loose fitting top that showed a pretty nice full figure.

I walked over to her and said, “Excuse me; I think you’ve got my chair.” Yeah, I really said that. She looked up and said, “Oh, I’m sorry….” I said, “No that’s OK, I don’t mind…., can I get you a drink?”
I went to get what she wanted and when I brought it back she told me a friend was with her, but she wasn’t staying long….could I give her a ride home?

We danced for a while to music of some sort playing; luckily it wasn’t George Strait and after an hour or so she pressed up against me and said she was ready to go. I asked her which way to go and she pointed down to the George Washington Parkway and a little rest area overlooking the river. Then proceeded to reach down and get what she wanted out and told me she “loves the taste of semen.” Who was I to argue? I finally got her home, got her undressed and spent most of the night in her waterbed. Making love to a larger woman in a waterbed can be dangerous. I survived the night but it was a near thing to not be tossed onto the floor.

That lasted a couple weeks and when I told her I’d met someone serious I found out about redhead tempers. But it was fun while it lasted.

And every time George Strait comes on the radio I think of chunky red heads.
