A film camera in 2018

One of my brothers gave me a gift of an old 1980s film photo camera for christmas. He even threw in an actual roll of film too, to get me started.

Of course, me being me, of the six photos that have been so far been taken with the camera, four of them involve a nude mrs shnowballs! :-)

Anyone got any advice for a postal photo delivery service in the UK? It'd help if one knew they were discrete and had no issue processing naughty photos. It'll probably take me a few months to go through the 36 photos on the film but I feel I need to start researching how to actually get these photos on to paper.

Like how your mind works! :D

An alternative to a commercial film processor might be a local collage / uni / art school where nudes are a regular part of drawing / painting / photography classes. They might be willing to develop and print the photos for a small donation.

Developer

We got some photos from our nudist holiday developed by a specialist naturist photo developer. Sorry I can remember the details, as it was a while back, but we got the details in one of the adds from H&E magazine, so you might want to have a look there.

Unless things have changed, which I doubt, you should have no problem getting nude photos processed anywhere although i'd probably avoid Boots!
Any mainstream postal service should be OK and I have done this in the early late 80's, and recently with some digital scans with 'snapfish' and had no problems.

However if there is anything heading in the penetration or hardcore direction you might need a more 'specialist' service and you can find these online.

I hope this helps

Film

Back in the 70s and 80s before digital we always had to use a polaroid camera. Getting 35 mm film developed of me naked was a real problem. We had to find out by word of mouth where to send the film. It took 3 or 4 weeks and cost twice as much as the local drug store did. Even polaroid pictures were terribly expensive. They cost an average of $1.00 apiece! That was in 1980 dollars. That's why we all took so few pictures. I wish I had better quality pictures of me naked from back then but it was just too expensive and time consuming. Even when I was a stripper and guys took pictures of me naked I hardly ever saw them and most of them appeared to be polaroid cameras. I can't imagine how hard it would be to find someone to develop them now.

Trust Colourlabs. Try these. I used them a lot before the advent of digital. I’ve just googled it now and you can email them from their website first, if you wish.

Good luck.

I got max speilmans to do mine in the uk about 15 years ago. No problem even when the counter girl got embarrased as she tried to show me what she thought were holiday snaps!

Thanks. Definitely won't be anything HC in these. I feel I've already pushed the boat out a bit in getting the four photos I did. ;)

Funny you should mention Boots. Do they still develop film? Anyway, it's funny because after I took the photos, the lady's first comment was to basically say I definitely wasn't allowed to bring the film into Boots!

I'm not entirely but up to a couple of years ago they did and also had machines for memory cards etc.
I suppose Boots was always the byword for the respectable family pharmacy and all things wholesome, although that's changed a bit now.

Update?

Did you ever finish the roll and get the pics developed? Anything you can share? Never see enough pics of the lovely Mrs S.... :)
