Does Anyone Remember SHARON REED, ENF newscaster?

Back in 2004, Cleveland, OH newscaster Sharon Reed took part in an art instillation by photographer Spencer Tunik, know for taking photos of nude participants in public spaces (some of which got him in trouble with the authorities).

The difference here, of course, is that Ms Reed not only covered the story, she was a part of it, being one of the many people who was nude for said installation.

As the images below show, Ms Reed had some trepidations about being naked on camera, and, indeed, nearly backed out when she saw camera crews from rival Cleveland stations. But she summoned her courage, stripping down completely on camera, and joined the throng of other nudes for the massive photo shoot.

Talk about profiles in courage!!👍

It's just too bad that of all the official and unofficial pictures taken of that installation that there are no candids of Sharon Reed, no photos at all except those released by her station..... There must be something else out there?

I know, right? I'm sure somebody got a sneakily-gotten full-frontal shot somewhere.

One can only hope...😉

I used to have the video, but I lost it when my computer crashed seven years ago..not that the video in question was any more revealing than what's in these photos ( remember, it was shown on broadcast tv in the U.S., so if, indeed there was some {accidental, to be sure} full-frontal, it wound up on the cutting-room floor...:( )

Additionally, if you read some of the contemporary reviews of Ms Reed's story, most mainstream outlets looked down their nose at WOIO-TV's "news" story, some commenters bemoaning the state of tv news "going downhill" (never mind the fact the the then five-year-old NakedNews.com was going pretty strong at the same time).

Of course, considering what passes for news today, Sharon Reed's eye-opening expose seems rather quaint.
