Oregon Country Fair 2016
 

I took a look, and it seems that I'm the first to post this year!

It won't be much from me - it was my first day at the Fair, and I only attended one half-day.

That would have been much worse if the weather hadn't been so wet - it rained Friday and Sunday, and also Saturday morning, but it cleared up well on Saturday afternoon when I was there.

The temperature was around 70 - cooler than everyone wanted, and the other 2 days were only in the 60's . That dramatically reduced the attendance, according to the half-dozen or so locals I chatted with.

The event was very family-focused, and there was no "adult" vibe at all. I saw other cameras around, though not many, and not much in the way of active shooting, either after asking permission or sniping sly shots. I saw-without-shooting about 3x as many lovely racks as I was able to shoot, because crowds were moving quickly, always walking, and there were so few people standing and posing that it failed to create an atmosphere of photography.

From a perving perspective it was a disappointment, but the food, music and entertainment was worth it. I'll go again, but I'll also try to keep going to NAP. It kills me but I won't be able to get to NAP this year, but it was nice to make the Country Fair.

Hopefully more of you got better results than I did, and are willing to share here!

First set - painted chocolate vendor. I wanted to move them out of that sunbeam and shoot some more but there were people in line behind me trying to pay! :)

Not all the fine views were body-painted - never saw her locomotive, but the caboose was lovely!

(p.s. I apologize for the sideways pics - I fought this with my NAP threads and never found a reliable way to predict which ones were going to appear rotated after posting. But they should all view normally when downloaded!)

My only long-lens action of the day, and she was in a hurry! A few minutes later when I was literally changing lenses back, she came by again, and I saw her in another part of the Fair. Lovely!

These are my second favorites (after the Vendor shots).

I saw her standing facing me, talking animatedly but seriously, with her dress wide open and her beautiful perkiness completely unobstructed. Something made me try to "do the right thing" and ask for permission to take her picture, and she was surprised and gave a laugh, then turned to her BF and posed for the shots. Thanks, dear!

That's literally all I have of painted or costumed skin at the Fair. I have a very little more (less than 25 scenes) of general Fair shots, but those don't seem to be appropriate here.

I commit my pics to the collective lot of you, hoping that others contribute in time as they sort through them.
