Request: Cheerleader finished routine topless
 

Anyone seen this out there? Someone had to have taped it! :) It happened in 2002 from the news articles I could pull up from google.

Carla Sanchez calls herself very modest, the most modest person she knows. "You have no idea," she says. "Not even my mother has seen me naked."

Imagine the dilemma she faced when she and 17 other members of the New York University dance team began the 2-minute, 15-second routine they had worked on for months in hopes of securing a national championship. All was fine for about 15 seconds — until the plastic snap on Sanchez's spandex top inexplicably came undone.

Sanchez had an instant to make a very public decision: Quickly cover up, as every fiber in her preacher's-daughter body wanted — or just keep dancin'.

It is the kind of plot twist you might find on Fox's Boston Public: Sanchez danced those last two minutes topless in front of astounded onlookers. She believed that if she were out of sync for even a moment, her teammates would be assessed a major deduction, dooming their dream. So she soldiered on, never missing a beat.

You can guess the rest. NYU won its division, and Sanchez was acclaimed a hero. "That was very brave," said co-captain Carolyn Comparato. "She's a rock star."

Most in the audience were fellow competitors or parents, true believers in the culture of cheer and dance, and they understood instinctively: She was taking one for the team.

A few men hooted and tossed coins onstage. But the atmosphere was more admiring than salacious."

This request was posted on the old Yahoo ENF forum a couple of years ago. Everyone turned over every internet stone they could find looking for the video, with no result. It is particularly frustrating that the competition was videotaped, and videotapes were offered for sale, but apparently this particular routine was edited out. But the video must exist somewhere, and where there's life, there's hope.

I was one of those searching high and low for the video back then. Forgot about it until now.

Some lucky bastard is out there sitting on this video laughing at us all. Forget about the professionally shot video, man the audience had to be filled with camcorders and cameras. SOMEONE had to have taped it lol. Well I'll keep my fingers crossed it turns up sometime, thanks for the responses guys.

I saw a short clip which showed the end of the cheer routine awhile back. From what I remember it was only about ten seconds long. Unfortunately I don't seem to have it anymore but I'll keep looking for it.

Sounds like the Kate Logan graduation video. Another Holy Grail for ENF/NIP lovers. I hadn't heard about this one, but I searched for Kate Logan forever (and also always held out a glimmer of hope for a Katherine Tyrol surveilence video from her LLBean streak).

should I know who Kate Logan is?

She was the valedictorian in Vermont who stripped off her robe during her speech to show she had nothing on. She was supposed to appear on Letterman but I guess backed out. You would think there would be pictures or video of it since it was a graduation, but none has surfaced.

Seems this netzien tried to turn over every stone he (or she?) could to find the tape but didn't succeed. :( Oh well, it has a nice picture of her (below), but most of the other links on the page appear to be broken.

so it is actually possible that no one has that tape?? I find that impossible to be true. Someone is holding out.
