Interesting use for race bibs ...
 

Now that is a very creative use of race bibs. In the eighth photo of message number two, based on the numbers on the bibs, it looks like those are sorority pledges who entered the race together, and only seven of ten finished.

It is also possible that any girl who finished in the top twenty didn't have to pose for the photo. That would make me wonder what the pledge who did the very worst had to do in the next photo, or at the next party.

Might be a good story there.

Roxanne, what that picture actually shows is a shot from one of the very popular "naked calanders" that are made by many students Athletic's Clubs etc. Most feature nearly nude males (from what i've seen) but there are some female ones too of course! There was a link here a while ago to a girl who was blogging her experience of one.

But I am 100% baffled as to where you got the sorority idea from? Maybe you confused that picture with another one you had seen?

It's actually neither. It's the Ithaca College cross-country team having fun in a hotel at the NCAA championships. The rest of the album shows them doing other silly things in the hotel and has a few pictures from the race.

I'm sure you are right- It looked like that british girl's series of athletics pictures, but I havn't seen that for a while so clearly I was mixed up.
