Need help to Recover Files

Hi all...

Here is the situation.

My brother in law left abroad for school and right now and his old computer is sitting on my room to be formatted. My wife wants it to be booted and installed with a new system. No problem until now. Thing is two days in a family chat she confessed that his girlfriend was sending him nude pics and sexy videos and she found out them in his computer. You can guess the ringing bells in my head right that moment. Problem is....

Computer has only one HDD divided into 2 partitions. Since 3 people used to use the computer (brother in law, mother in law and my wife when she was in their home) everyone has his/her own user acc. Today I connected the hdd searched whole thing but nothing was there. I guess my brother in law already took what he needs with his new comp and cleaned out everything else. So I connected the hdd to my own comp as an internal disc and run PC Recovery Tool. unfortunately I found only lost/deleted files from my wifes acc. Nothing came out related to his files. No school files, pictures word docs or anything. So I guess I'm doing something wrong but couldn't figure it out. If there is some one who can help that would be very very much appreciated.

Soo... you are my only hope OCC :(

P.S: I hope this post is not against the rules.

Looks like you did everything you could, less than taking it to a Pro. Maybe she deleted the files then did a Defrag of the disk, which overwrites deleted files with other files to organize the disk to make it more efficient..
Good luck, you could always ask for copies....

nope...ever heard of it until now. is it better than PC Inspector.

@B30360: no no chance she would do that. She knows to use a computer but that much detailed stuff :)

My amateur guess is PC inspector first looks out for logical drives and then search them for lost/deleted files. So it may be totally ignores for the deleted partition. My last chance would be formatting the disk so that all partitions deleted and then research the disk with pc inspector so maybe this time it would find out all the files deleted beforehand :/

Pandora Recovery

I've used Pandora Recovery for recovering deleted files... for hard drives, ssds, thumb drives, media cards etc. It works fairly well. I've recovered images that were deleted years ago in college on an old school compact flash card.
