A suggestion for dealing with SPAM
 

Folks--

Don't reply to the spam messages. It doesn't take too long to figure out that a user is spamming. But when you reply, you bump the thread. You're assuming that these people CARE about what you think of their post. I'll lay you odds they never come back after the first post.

Just PM one of the mods when you find spam!

We have a serious problem with SPAMMERS right now.

We ban at least one SPAMMER a day.

Here's some advice:

Links should only be posted in the Free Sites forum. Never click on a link in the other forums, if the thread contains no photos or videos only links.

Don't click on links that are posted by people with less than 10 posts.

If you see SPAM in any of the forums, please click the [!] in the upper right hand side of any post to report the post to the moderators.

We delete SPAM as fast as possible, but this may be a never ending battle so long as we allow free registration to the forums.

When in doubt, or if a link looks fishy. Don't click on it.

You guys have been doing a fantastic job keeping the spam down. I just wanted to take this oportunity to thank you for all you do behind the scenes. I ran across one earlier today, but before I could even report it, it disappeared. Keep up the GREAT work.
