Language barriers, I suspect. In Britain, "pants" = panties (also "knickers"), "trousers" = pants.

well if it helps at all... to add to the world dictionary.

Here in Canada...

Pants = Pants
Knickers = underwear or if your old fashioned... = those short pants that are now called coulottes<--sp?
Panties = Underwear
