Fremont Parade 2014
 

its not too early to start this year's Fremont thread - the parade is just a scant 6 days away (Sat June 21st). I'm looking forward to it as I know you all are too.

Weather watchers up there have a good source of news at hxxp://www.KOMOnews.com. Their weather descriptions are authoritative, and so I took heart in this little comment at the end of their forecast today:

"Summer officially arrives at 3:51 on Saturday morning and with that said, we'll return to some sunshine!"

Whoopie! I do see a possibility for some rain Thurs and Fri, but for now Saturday and Sunday look dry. So, get out your bodypaint and bike or at least grab your lawn chair and cheer on those that are doing so. Otherwise, I'll keep it short and refrain from discussing logistics - the info is available on line or you can pm me.

I continue to post Fremont pics from past years over at Flickr as user DavinS06. These from 2006-2013 have gone up recently, and haven't appeared at OCC before.

Well, I'm off to Seattle and won't be returning to Portland nor this thread until Tues at the earliest. And so when I get back, I expect a ton of pics will already be up. Bright, sunlit pics too :) The weather forecast for the weekend and beyond is looking SUNNY!!! Do you know what that means? Skinny dipping in Gasworks Park!

i have searched around a number of different years and I'm pretty sure that was her only ride. She caught my eye too. As a note, I have a bit of a compilation at this point and at the risk of reposting, I tend to avoid random posts. That said, feel free to post any rare requests. I might be able to oblige.

I'm definitely ready, I'm putting the World Cup on temporary hold.

I am told that nudity at the post-parade function at Gasworks Park will be banned this year. Hope it not true. Apparently there was "lewd behavior" last year and the Freemont Arts Council is not happy. I wonder what happened.
