Hardcore Annimations and GIFS
 

It seems we used to have a thread for this but I can't seem to find it. If the Admins know of the location, perhaps they will email a link to me after they delete this thread.

I especially like short amateur created animations but realize that highly skilled animators are out there and I appreciate them as well. :D

I think the thread you're thinking of was removed because there was one or two contributors that kept posting images that either had watermarks, or were sourced from pro videos. There were so many that violated forum rules that it became easier to remove the thread than to clean it up. I personally like GIFs. I make GIFs. I may even post a few!
Keep 'em amateur, and un-marked, and the thread can stay.:D

how do I make a gif?

I'm sure there's an easier way.
 

I download a video, if needed I convert it to a format I can edit with Windows Movie Maker. (It came with the computer). Once I have a clip I like, I put it on my Android tablet and convert it to a GIF with more free software. I save them to either Skydrive or Dropbox. (More freebies!) It's a pain but it only needs internet for the initial video download and finished upload. Some of the other sites retain your files after you make them. Mine stay mine until I share them.

They came out well enough but the site you used to make the conversion added their watermark to them. That's a problem.
