Idea for new forum
 

Hey Alex and everyone at OCC:

I was thinking that a regular chatting forum might be nice...just a regular forum, without picutures, just talking about experiences, posting questions, opening up some topics for discussion, etc. Don't get me wrong I love the video and pic forums, I just think it might be nice to talk about some things....

This suggestion has come up a few times before. I know some people would really enjoy an "off-topic" forum to chat with other members. However, we're reluctant to add this for a few reasons. First off it would be yet another forum to moderate and the forums are so busy that I just don't want to add that to our moderators work load. Second, when some people think "off-topic" they think anything goes and may be tempted to start moral, political or religous arguments. We work hard to keep the forums friendly, "on-topic" and organized. I fear that an off-topic discussion forum would create too many headaches and cause more problems than it's worth.
