Fake stories in the Non-Fiction section?
What is this site's general attitude towards these stories? Some of the stories in that section are obviously fake, but a lot of those are even still well-received by the audience. Do we have a "live and let live" outlook on these? Personally, I find that they are watering down that section and I'd prefer they weren't there.

How can you tell they are "obviously fake"? Just because a story is written in a "fictional" writing style doesn't make it fake. Unless there are clear fantasy/sci-fi elements in a story, how can you truly judge something as fiction?

For example:
https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/showthread.php?t=166349 There are photos in that thread that are allegedly of the poster, but those photos belong to a different Reddit user that has gone by several usernames. Currently, that user posts as /u/awhha (she posted as /u/6mmshhh9 before and had other names before that). awhha deleted those pictures years ago, presumably because they showed her face. awhha is not the same person as aryaisthebest, their writing styles and life stories don't match up. awhha is currently in college, but aryaisthebest claims to have left college years ago. Plus, going through aryaisthebest's post history on reddit, a lot of them just aren't plausible. One of them involves a masseur giving her an unsolicited "happy ending." Another thread: https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/showthread.php?t=166281 Some user already called this one out, but the thread was never moved or moderated in any way. Generally, I'm skeptical of most threads posted from a female perspective and catering only to male fantasy, but you're right, I couldn't prove all of them fake. I'm not sure if these threads give off the wrong vibe to anyone else. Maybe other people don't care or would rather not know. I made this post out of curiosity as to what others think. |
