a couple thoughts.. mild complaints..

I don't know if any of these will be liked or appreciated but here goes..

Everyone enjoys a getting comments on their posted material.. and a lot of comments are real gems..
however its somewhat annoying when people bump a thread that is several months old just to write thanks.. or thx.. or nice .. etc.. it adds nothing..
suggestion imposing an auto lock on threads.. possibly 1 or 2 weeks in duration and then the thread is locked thus keeping the threads somewhat organized.. if new material for a post is discovered at a later date then a new thread with links to original would be appropriate.

or

if possible a way to sort threads by the initial post rather than latest post..

ok next thought..
how about a mandate that requires all posts to include the file name in the body of the OP.. thus allowing for easier searching of reposts since 80% of the time they are same or similar name.. I'm sure someone could create a script to edit all old posts to include this information..

just my 2 cents..

Thanks for the feedback joeyjames. We always appreciate hearing everyone's ideas.

We have thought about closing older threads, but have never implemented this. Perhaps we'll start a poll and see if the majority of people feel that this would be an improvement.

Searching for reposts is not always easy. The good news is that we have an improved search tool that will allow people to enter the name of an attachment in the search field. The moderators have been helping us test this, but it isn't ready for general use yet. Some people may remember that I mentioned this improved search tool last month. The problem is, I have all our programmers finishing the work to get our new video sites ready and I won't have them working on the search tool until that is finished. Sorry if this is taking longer than expected, but I need to make sure that any new software we use is working and thoroghly tested before it get's used by our visitors.

Thanks,

Just my opinion,

I think that older threads should not be closed.
Because you would end up with 5-15 threads of the same topic. Instead of letting them grow into super threads.
Example...pantyless upskirts....candid down blouses.....group pictures....pottyshots....ect.
why kill good threads? To have many little ones that don't grow.

I personally think that it is annoying to have a bunch of threads of the same thing.

Just my opinion......

I think it would be a good idea to lock threads where there has been no activity for a week or two for example. That way they wouldn't get bumped up after months of inactivity. The superthreads won't get locked if there's continous activity in them like that.

just a thought

would it be possible, to only bump a thread to the strat, if an attatchment was also added. Anyone who has subscibed to the thread would still get all replies anyway.
It dosent affect me to much, cos i have a fast connection, but anyone with dialup would take longer to open threads that only have the words "nice post"

regards
CP.

Sorry, but that's not an option.

We can consider closing threads that haven't recieved any responses for a set time. For example, we could automatically close threads that have been inactive more than 30 days. That way the popular threads would never get closed. My only fear is that people may be tempted to "bump" threads more often to try to keep them active.

Thanks,

I dunno, guys. I've been here for a little while and I KNOW there's still some great stuff in the archives I haven't gotten around to yet. When an old thread gets bumped, it gives new members a chance to see something they might have missed, and it could revive a really cool thread that maybe got buried from being posted at a bad time or something. I've been pleasantly surprised a few times. Oh well, just one man's opinion...

You have numbers for "replies" and "number of views", would it be possible to implement some sort of "thank you" button that, when you press it, it adds to a "thank you" counter? Limit the thank yous to one per user name. Also you could keep track of and list who thanked you.

Of course that would mean more work for your programmers ;) .

This is why I made comments on a few old posts. In other words I posted partly to say thanks; and to share something I enjoyed to the newer people who might have only clicked the new posts button. Didn't realize that was to be avoided, so I guess I'll stop now...
