The Celeb Thread

So its been locked? That is such a shame because it was very good once.

ONE guy caused all of the hate on that thread. He continually posted low rez crap and repost after repost then had the audacity to start flaming people who picked him up on it and tried to keep the thread on track.

So way to go ilovedollydog. I hope you are happy with yourself. You have RUINED one of the best threads on OCC.

riffybar 07-07-2013 06:33 PM

I for one am very saddened. It was one of my favorite threads. I hope in the infinite wisdom of the powers that be that they eventually choose to reopen it. If not I hope we can post post our celeb oops and candids here.

What?

ilovedollydog didn't cause the thread to be shut down. It was all the useless whining about what was being posted. So instead of just ignoring what they don't like, the entire group has to suffer. It's a shame when the squeaky wheel drives the car.

Way to go!

It seems some people don't understand basics. If you know there is going to be something in a thread that you are not going to want to look at don't open it and if you are in a thread and come (no pun intended) across something you don't like, use the scroll button until you are past it. It's as simple as that

Also there is an ignore facility for any posters that are bothering members....If I live to be 1,000 years old, I will never understand why the whiners couldn't simply put the offending poster on their ignore list...

Please, please, please, for any future threads...Don't whine....USE THE IGNORE FEATURE; THAT'S WHAT IT'S THERE FOR...

I do understand your point when I go through a thread yes there will be items I do not like or think may not belong in that thread. In the past it may have been days or even a week before my web journeys would bring me around to this thread. Then there might be a page to two of new postings to catch up on. Most would be good and I would venture to say welcome by most. But then things changed you could miss a day and a have to wad through pages of posts reposts, Cleavage and bikini shots of clebs that we have already seen there tits or fully nude for that matter. Red carpet shots of supposedly see through or opps. I think you can catch my drift so of course people were going to start to complain. Just adjust some of the posts thats all quality instead of quantity. Was that really to much to ask? Keep in mind when one poster takes over a thread it is never good for the thread.

I for one did not object to all of his posts and I would venture that is true for others. Why could he just not conform to the rules and cut back on the reposting and some of the unless pics. It is a fair question.

The problem is that some of us have just avoided the thread because of a spammer.

He posted one reply where he said he would stop posting if "X" amount of people like that post. More than that number hit like, but instead of stopping the post and any reference to it was deleted.

Sorry Ivan, it wasn't that I couldn't scroll past the noise from ilovedollydog, I could, and did. That wasn't annoying What was annoying was his blatant "Fuck-you" attitude when he was called-out on his continual disregard of the rules. Weather explicit or not, it is always understood that continual reposting of material, no matter what the forum, is not cool.

I think the moderators should have made a call one way or the other and sent a clear message. Locking the forum, without any feedback has not solved anything.

Cheers.

Thanks goodness we can continue the discussion here!

You know, the discussion that got a very popular thread shut down.

Will all the clueless people please move to the back of the room?
