Windows 7 file feature question and help?
 

After i got the virus off my puter; this past week I got a lightening surg through my house and it fried my old puter.
i was able to get my pics off the old harddrive. I have a new puter with Windows 7.

In XP I could create a file for pics; after downloading pics I could drag and sort, rename and post.
You could sort by name if wanted.

In W7 it will only sort by name. It justifies all the pics by name automatically. I cannot figure out how to turn off this feature. is it possble? i am tring to get my pics organized for posting.

Any help is appreciated.

When I open a folder in Win7, I can change the view by clicking on an icon in the upper right-hand corner. See photo:

If you change the view to "details" then you can sort by date, type, size, or whatever other information you would like.
