does any one know any good programs to download where you can make beats for music

'fruity loops' is really good and easy loop-based sequencer but not free - $49 is cheap tho and very easy if you don't know much about music making - does all the tricky stuff for you and you can find loads of samples on p2p.

'audiomulch' is in public beta (i.e. free but not necessarily stable) and is loadsa fun but you'll need to have a little knowhow or its a kinda hedfuk. Plus you'll need .WAV files to plug into it.
