How can I change a real player file to a bs or media file

I have a file called intake that downloaded as a real player file that I hate using. Can i change it to a BS plaer or media player file.

I really don't like using real player.

Any help thanks

Hi alphaboo,

I hate Realplayer too. I'd suggest going to the following link: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4094.html

This is a link for the "Real Alternative" which enables you to play real player files in the classic windows media player (which is included in the download - this is not the Media Player 9 or 10 but rather something like 6.4). You can keep both players on your system and default the "real alternative" to open real player files.

Give it a try; I love it. :)

I just noticed a small quirk in RealAlternative after using it for a little bit.

The file information doesn't display for me.

For instance, if the original file lists a URL source or the author or whatever in the file information, it seems that RealAlternative doesn't pick up on it. This is fine for playback, but it also means that while you use it, you have to worry whether if you post a file in RM format on the forums, if it contains information that would potentially violate the rules on watermarks and site identifiers.

Since I've been posting RM files regularly, it pains me to say that I might have to switch back to RealPlayer to see the file info.

I'm not happy about real player so I use bsplayer. It's free and easy to use. In the settings just mark rm-files and it will take of those files. Work like a charm. Lontan. :D
