Site speed
 

Anyone else experiencing slow speeds on this site? With the ever increasing file size of especially the videos it becomes a real pain to download. Right now i'm downloading a file with 50 kB/s which is in my opinion unaccepatable. And during the night the speeds get even worse. 20KB/s is no exeption.

Can something be done about this? Maybe give the paying members unrestricted speed?

yup been bugging me for a while most videos take 10-20 mins minimum to download often more

I was glad to see this post. I was on the verge of raising a bit of hell with my ISP. Download speeds of 50-60 kps are pretty slow with broadband. I got 35 kps with dial-up. I hope this is a hiccup.

FYI, my slow download speeds were, in fact, an ISP problem.

My connection is wireless, and it appears that the speeds are affected by heavy rain and high winds battering the local tower sending unit. So, sorry for whining OCC, it wasn't your fault. My d-load speed is back to normal.

I'm glad you found your problem.

We did find a firewall that may have caused a bottleneck during busy times. Now that firewall has been replaced by one that will allow more bandwidth to pass through so it should not be a limiting factor anymore.

This site seems very slow. Often the site won't load at all and when it does, the photo previews don't load. Anyone else having this problem. I check my connection speed and it is still very fast.
