Question for the Mods

Amongst other things, I am a keen amatuer photographer. I understand your rules regarding pro images. My question is whether I, as an amatuer, can post pictures that I took at a studio, of a model, who was paid for her contribution?

As long as you aren't using the images to promote your own websites or services, you may post them here.

When you do post, make it clear that you are posting your own original material so the the moderators don't confuse them with professional photos found on the web.

Thanks for the info. I'll make it quite clear. I do not have my own website to promote, so there will be no question of that happening.

An idea for consideration...

maybe this is a bad idea but if there is a easy way, it would seem like it might be a good idea.

A few days, I noticed prior to posting the Utah Undie Run pics that are a quite a few of short threads for a specific undie runs but nothing general or at least not that I could find. About the closest general undie run category I saw, was the Strange Undie Race category. Maybe I should have started a specific thread and then the person that had inquired about the Utah Undie Run pics possibly could have found those pics more easily(assuming they used the search feature). Then, they wouldn't have needed to start a new thread only to have it die. However, I decided OCC has plenty of short undie run threads and another short thread wasn't necessary. And maybe they didn't use the search feature but overall it might be of a benefit to everybody on OCC.

So...Would it be possible to consolidate all the undie runs into one main thread? Then if someone wants to know about a particular undie run...they can type "Undie Runs" into the search option and come up with one main thread to look through....either to post new pictures or just look through.

Maybe name it...Undie (underwear) Runs...so if people type in either undie or underwear it will come up from a search.

What do you think?

We don't normally merge threads like this together because the choice to start a new thread or add to an existing thread is really up to the member who is posting. What if some pposters prefer to keep their own threads? It's a personal choice.

So long as people name their threads or write their posts with descriptive words, it should always show up with the search feature.

Hmmm...

For some reason, I thought I read somewhere in the past that OCC was trying to avoid a whole bunch of separate threads on the same general topic. I must be mistaken, though.

Then...maybe it would be better to start a new thread titled, Utah Undie Run. Then the pictures won't get buried and be difficult to find in the thread titled Strange Undie Race.

Would there be an easy way of starting a new thread called...Utah Undie Run...then transfering the posts #9, 10 and 11 to the new thread.

If this is a workable idea, you are more than welcome to execute this action. Thank you.

If you are serious about wanting to merge all undie run threads, read on.....

We had a similar situation with campus naked run pics. What I did (for lack of a better idea) was to start a new thread called "THE OFFICIAL campus naked run thread", repost the best pics from all of the other threads, and also link to those various threads so that one could easily get to them from the "master" thread. This was my attempt at doing what you want to do with undie run pics. Its not a bad idea to try and consolidate them, except that with undie run pics, there are a heck of a lot more of them out there. But you could still try it, I suppose. Call it "THE OFFICIAL campus undie run" thread or something, make it plain up front in your first post that this is for ALL undie run pics and is your attempt to consolidate all the known material. Anyway, having a companion to my thread with a similar title I think would work well, as members are already familiar with mine. It will take some work on your part to repost pics form other threads, but hopefully in time, members will see this as THE thread for this type of pic and the other threads will languish. Just a thought...

Well said. It takes effort to put together a single destination for all of the pictures related to a particular topic, but it can be done.

Otherswise, Mods do not typically merge threads, but they will post messages to notify folks that there's an on-topic thread. Usually, the threads that are kept active by members become the "official" on topic thread by default.

If you decide to become the undies-run guru, thanks in advance for your efforts!

I do think it is worth the effort to do this, BTW, and have a single massive undie run thread. And if the thread author is really knowledgable about these runs, collects diligently and really knows his pics, this will add lots of fun and depth to the thread.

Good luck - KLondike

BTW (the thread title is "question for the mods" so why not fire away?) - I couldn't help noticing that OCC membership has passed the half a million mark. SO naturally I wondered if this is the largest (by membership) adult forum on the net now. Anyone know? I regularly check this number and have for years - it is important to me to know how many people are checking out the forums. Half a million!
