Saving captions in Real Player (RAM)

I have a couple of great videos I'd love to post but I can't save captions in windows movie maker or BS player because it's a .RAM file (those players can't open the movie)

Is there a way to save captions in real player or...

Is there a way to save a RAM file in BS player or movie maker (or media player for that matter)

how to vidcap real player

real player is a pain for editing.
the easiest way i have found to make a vidcap for real player is this.

1, play the video ( best using the real player alternative ) which can be found here
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4094.html and its free.

2, play the video and drag the screen out to make it larger.

3, press the print screen button on your keyboard

4, open up a photo editing program, like paintshop pro. ( i use iphoto plus4 )

5, the press edit button and select past image, to make a screen cap of your screen

6, just cut the pic to the selected part ( the video )

7, save as jpeg.

i know its a long process BUT you will get used to it, and luckily enough, theres not loads of real player vids :-)

regards
cp.

Thanks, Celeb Peeper. Fortunately these two are the only real media files I have, but these need to be shared with the group.

Thanks for the realplayer alternative cp. I absolutely hate it and it: its slow and it uses way to many system resources. I just tried this alternative and it works great (and it fits in well with the quicktime alternative too which I also favour greatly over regular quicktime). If any other members are not fans of playing .rm file in realplayer, I really recommend giving this program a whirl.
