Alternative to Media Player
 

I've been having a major problem with Windows media Player and the dreadful Real Player not playing some types of videos. My question for all of you is this: Do you know of a alternative to Windows Media Player that will play most all file extensions? I'm so sick fo downloading some videos only to get a codec error, or some other error resulting in Windows Media Player not playing the video. Any reccomendation would be greatly appericated.

I use Divx player. Free to download from their site, and up to now I haven't had any codec or playback problem's.

divx is the way
 

divx has played just about everything even the ones that say indeo codex
cliprex works pretty good too and its free also
made a mistake earlier and downloaded the window media player update
and it seemed nothing wanted to work
so went back to 4.1 or whatever it was
and most play on it
count on microsoft to complicate things
