Filesonic question

I have a lot of videos on email list that are filesonic hosted. Are these files welcome on this forum? They are too large to post.

Sorry, but File Sonic is not allowed to be used on the forum.

Why? It's no different to any other file hoster. Infact it causes less problems then rapidshare (which has now become a joke) and yet you have an entire section dedicated to them.

It has an affiliate program.

Rapidshare has had it's problems in the past but it's working fine as of right now. You also have the option of using Multiupload.

Rapidshare is not working fine, sure it's fine if you pay for their pass but not for the average free user who wants to download a lot of links having to wait hours for them all.

And why does it matter if filesonic has an affiliate program? Aslong as the links aren't spam then what does it matter?

Besides rapidshare has incentive programs to, the more you post the more points you earn to go towards premium ... isn't that incentive to you to?

Sites that offer money for uploading are not something we want here. Some start posting for that reason alone....which then does turn into spam.

RapidPro isn't really much of an incentive. Rapidshare has been used on the forum for a while now and we've never had any problems with it. Granted, about a year ago, it was terrible to use but it seems to have gotten better now. Sites that offer rewards/money (like Megaupload) we have had problems with, so it's always been common practice to avoid them.

Well that is a shame, as tbh I've had over 2000 downloads through filesonic in the last couple of days, and yet in my former life not that long ago I tried rapidshare and never even got half that with people complaining about wait times so it seems clear to me what the visitors prefer.

Also to me it seems stopping everyone who uses it, even the people actually contributing on topic content from doing so will alienate a lot of people, Just having a block on junk being posted would be better. It's a shame as I really thought this was the place for me to post me stuff. But your way is your way I suppose.
