I have decided to start posting notable news items involving nudity as I find them. As I've been using Twitter quite a bit lately, stuff is becoming known to me that often has links to stories. The real point in posting these, however, is to alert people that there may be pics out there associated with these stories. Or......sometimes the stories are just too darn entertaining to pass up. Like this one...

I suppose this is the right place for news I read just now. Thought of this site immediately. There don't seem to be any pictures though, and this wasn't in a crowded place. Still funny.

It's in danish, but it translates to:

A resident in a building in Søerne, Copenhagen called the police when he found a naked woman in the stairs.

The Police had to take a locksmith Thursday morning where a woman was found naked in a staircase in Vester Søgade in Copenhagen.

The woman who is 24 years old was discovered by a resident who notified the police.

The woman had walked in her sleep and locked herself out. When she wanted to get into the apartment she was visiting to get her clothes, she couldn't get inside.

The male resident of the apartment was heavily drunk. He was asleep and didn't open the door, so the woman had to be let in by a locksmith, says central chief guard Søren Wiborg.

While they waited for the locksmith, kind neighbours had taken care of the woman and lent her some clothes.

I might be able to dig up the news article that went with the following story, but it might take a while. This happened several years back in Portland, and I'll just recap.

This is like a similar story above. Seems someone south of Portland was poking around a vacant lot one day when they witnessed what appeared to all the world to be an assault/r*p* in progress. They immediately called 911, and within moments a feet of police cars arrived in a parking lot adjacent to the lot. What the cops then witnessed was this: a semi naked man and woman near a tree abruptly halting whatever it was they were doing, hastely grabbing their clothes, and appearing shocked and embarassed at having been discovered. Then slowly it sunk in - this was not an assault or r*p*, but a prearranged and elaborate S & M hookup for sex and other games. The couple had met through an on line service, and thought that their location was secretive enough to go undetected. Anyway, there were a lot more details, and if I find the original news article, I will post it.

VANCOUVER -- A midnight skinny dip last week turned into a "humiliating" visit to jail for two B.C. sisters who claim they were arrested and hauled half-naked to Delta police cells.

The Boundary Bay sisters, aged 17 and 18, have registered a complaint against the Delta police, claiming they were wrongfully arrested after their dip on July 16.

The sisters, along with another 18-year-old girl, were stopped at about 1 a.m. by a female officer investigating a noise complaint at a nearby elementary school.

The police say they found the girls intoxicated and unclothed and that the older sister had nearly hit the police cruiser when she reversed her car and tried to flee, said Const. Paul Eisenzimer.

She then fled on foot down the beach while the other two girls screamed and swore at the officer, he said.

The two girls were handcuffed and taken to police headquarters in Ladner, while the one who ran was apprehended by a backup officer and taken in a separate police car. They were kept in the police cells to sober up, Eisenzimer said.

The girls deny they were drinking or causing a ruckus at the school. They also argue they were not allowed to get their clothes from the car or given anything to wear at the police station, where they were held for nine hours.

The older sister was wearing only a bikini; the younger had managed to pull on a tank top and the other girl a sweatshirt but neither had clothes to cover their bottoms.

"The officer was patrolling and she found us instead," said the older sister. "We spent the night in a jail cell almost naked. It was totally humiliating."

She was given a 24-hour driving suspension and is facing charges of impaired driving and escaping lawful custody. She said she also had to pay $200 to get her car back after it was towed.

The younger sister was running home to tell their parents what was happening when she was tackled by a backup police officer.

"Basically it's not safe for kids to be out on the street after dark," she said. "They just assume you're doing something wrong."

She claims she suffered bruises at the hands of the police and that she and her friend were photographed half-clothed by three male police officers at the station before they were taken to the cells. They weren't even given a blanket to cover themselves up, she added.

"It wasn't that much fun," she said. "They took our pictures and then took us through to the jail cells. The inmates were screaming at us as went because we were naked."

Eisenzimer refused to discuss the case as it's being investigated by professional standards member acting Staff-Sgt. Ian MacWilliams.

He said the investigation will likely be "fairly high" on MacWilliams' list, and would likely take a week or two to complete.

The Delta police station and cell blocks are monitored by video cameras, and the footage will be used in the investigation.

He added most people brought into the station are not photographed or finger-printed unless they are accused of a criminal offence.

Bruce Brown, deputy B.C. police commissioner, said the video surveillance should help clear up what happened.

He said as the girls have only registered a complaint against the police at this point, an internal investigation has been initiated by the department. If they decide to take it a step further and lodge a formal complaint under the Police Act, the investigation would go to the B.C. Police Commissioner to determine if it should be investigated as a public trust, service or policy issue.

Naked joggers prompt Portsmouth police call

Not a very exciting story, I know, but this article includes an off hand reference to Portland's World Naked Bike Ride from the perspective of a police officer assigned to cover it. He say's "if I can handle the WNBR, I can handle anything". Kind of a curious statement as I wouldn't think drawing WNBR duty would compare to say, drawing Hurricane Katrina duty, but you decide:

Anyway, anything that keeps the WNBR in the public eye is a good thing, and I suspect that the officers comment was made partly in jest. Actually, though - I mean, I wonder how the cops really feel about drawing WNBR duty. Sure, there are the obvious "perks" but on the other hand, nobody likes to get cussed at by beautiful naked women. It must feel lousy to see them having such a great time, while you have to enforce all this protocol and everything. And whether its a political protest, street parade, WNBR or whatever - crowd control is crowd control, and cops are always the bad guys.

I was reading this thread and it's got me wondering, what happens after someone gets arrested while naked? Let's say some girl gets dared to streak or skinny dip. Cops catch her. Cuff her hands behind her back leaving her unable to cover herself with her hands or put clothes back on. Then she is walked to the cop car like this unable to hide. This part we know has happened since there's even pix on here of what I've just described. But what happens next. Is this naked lady walked into the police station cuffed and naked? Placed in a jail cell still naked? Forced to stay naked till who ever bails her out brings her some clothes? Would the police give her a shirt, towel, blanket to hide her nakedness, especially since that's why she was arrested to begin with? The story on here of the teens skinny dipping says they weren't given anything to wear, although none were completely naked. Anyone have more news stories of what happens after the arrest. Being a huge fan of enf you can imagine what I want the answers to these questions to be, but I'm curious to know what normally happens when someone gets arrested while naked.

PORTLAND, Ore.—A high school charter flight to Mexico turned into “Animal House” at 25,000 feet when a crew member and howling boys staged a wet T-shirt contest, with girls dancing in the aisle and parading into the cockpit.
“Contestant No. 5, please. Some water for contestant No. 5. ... She’s dry!” the attendant is heard saying on a shaky video taken by one of the boys who rushed forward to take a peek and drench the girls.
“We’re not going to land this plane until you girls get wet!” students also heard the flight attendant say. “We’ve only got so much fuel.”

About 150 high school students from across the Northwest booked the Falcon Air flight out of Portland on June 11 to celebrate graduation, without teachers or chaperones. Many on board said the revelry escalated after the plane touched down in Mazatlan, with a weeklong binge of fake orgasm contests, booze cruises and coed swimsuit-switching races.
The trip has triggered a Federal Aviation Administration investigation and a state probe of the company that organized the trip.
Parents complained that the glossy brochures promising “perfect weather, sandy beaches and warm ocean waves” gave no hint of the debauchery and shoddy accommodations their children would receive.
“Definitely I think we’re a victim of fraud,” said Kippy Skeele, whose 18-year-old daughter Jamey went on the trip. “Every parent was lied to.”
One of those who competed in the wet T-shirt contest, 18-year-old Mickel Bitle, said the girls spent about 15 minutes in the cockpit of the Boeing 727 and that the pilots helped judge the contestants. It is against FAA regulations for passengers to enter the cockpit during a flight.
“The pilots took their attention away from the instrument panel to look us up and down. They were pretty much telling the flight attendants who they thought should win the contest,” Miss Bitle said in a sworn statement used in the FAA investigation.
A parent from Eugene notified the FAA after her 18-year-old daughter, Sara Walker, called home from Mazatlan the first night with details of the wet T-shirt contest.
Miss Walker said the rowdiness began about 2½ hours into the flight when the male flight attendant announced over the intercom that he wanted to have a wet T-shirt contest and male passengers ponied up $60 in prize money.
Two girls volunteered, but the crew member kept cajoling more to take part. “He walked down the aisle saying, ‘I’m going to pick a girl.’ And he would actually grab her and say, ‘You come up,”’ Jamey Skeele said.
Miss Skeele said five girls were then ushered into the cockpit of the Boeing 727. The four-minute video showed only the girls walking out of the cockpit. It did not show the pilots.
Miss Walker, who is a novice pilot with 60 hours of flight time, said she was worried about safety: “If we have a plane full of irresponsible, unprofessional pilots, crew and students, who the hell’s flying the plane?”
FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the agency is investigating several possible violations of federal regulations, among them: that passengers were let into the cockpit; that passengers endangered the flight; and that the crew participated in the raucous behavior.
Jose Lazaga, executive vice president of Miami-based Falcon Air, declined comment. The FAA investigation could take weeks. If found in violation, Falcon Air—which operates two 727s—could lose its license.
A group of 40 parents is also targeting Cerkvenik-Anderson Travel Inc., the Phoenix-based company that organized the trip under the name Student Tours. They say that the tour group sold parents a $525 package offering a safe, well-managed week and that their children came back with stories of something much different."
