Disappearing posts
 

Just had my post count go down more than 25 posts overnight. I've also noticed recently that I'll post 10 or 12 times before 1 post registers. What's up with that? Is there a glitch in the system?

Post counts are not always updated in real time. It may take an hour.

If you posted in someone else's thread and that thread get deleted you post count will go down.

This has been a regular occurrence, the past few months. Three or four out of every ten posts either never register, or get deleted. I've also sent nine (!) PMs to Admin over the course of more than a month. None have been answered.

I clicked back through your last month's worth of posts (that's all that appears when I search for your most recent posts), and I only saw a few that were deleted. And half of those you deleted yourself. If posts that you make aren't appearing, it's entirely possible that it's a problem on your end. Do you regularly have slow Internet issues, like web pages timing out before they can load? It's also possible that some posts are going to the Moderation Queue, so you're not seeing them appear right away. Check back later (usually within a day at the most) to see if they've been approved (again, I didn't see too many recent deleted posts of yours, so they usually are approved, if that's what's happening). As far as a large number of posts disappearing all at once goes, as admin has stated, that really only happens when a thread that you've made a lot of posts in is deleted.
