Hello,

I want to create this thread to talk about my favorite topic "topless at the beach".
As these days topless becomes less used as before, in think the 80's and the 90's where the golden ages about this manner to be at the beach.

Also my wife and her mother are topless at beach, and for a long time (my wife wore not a lot of tops in her beach life) and I really love that.

thanks Familleplage - I have never seen most of those pics and I think retro beach pics are really cool. Hope this thread will draw out more pics! We have some retro beach stuff in other threads here, but i'm not sure which ones. I know I have posted quite a few pics myself.

A while back, the subject of the "Golden age" of the nude beach came up, and some were doubtful that there really was such a golden age considering acceptance among all age groups was less than it is now. But then I happened to see a pic from Wreck Beach in Vancouver, BC taken about 1985. I know the beach well. The picture totally blew me away. Shown was nudity in fringe areas of the beach that was so extensive, it looked like the main part of the beach. Crowds at Wreck can reach 4 to 5 thousand on a Saturday or Sunday these days. But back in the 1980's, I believe they may have seen crowds of from 8,000-12,000 on some days. And it would have been all young people too, with most fully nude. Also, some numbers from California (late 1970's): Blacks Beach - 60,000. Venice Beach (no longer nude) - 10,000.

Venice Beach used to be nude? Really?

I think I read this in Lee Baxinall's world nude beach guide. I really have no other info. The impression I got was that for a short time in the late seventies, it was nude or at least topless. Not the whole beach maybe, but a section.
