This thread is to get an idea of what people are interested in most when it comes to contests here. In the next few months there will probably be multiple contests but the majority vote in this thread will be the first one. Please vote on the contest you would be interested in entering.

Original content, all the way-and personnally I like softcore- I've sent you a relevant PM too- Original content might be easier to make than people think!

Which leads to my question- is original content acceptable with a paid amateur or professional performer the maker has hired himself (similar for example to the 1 step models style).

I would say both are okay.

To sum it up, if it's something you shot, a friend shot or someone you just happened to know and it's being posted here first, I would call that original content.

Thats good- original content- self made stuff- is increasing in popularity all the time. :)

Tip - if you are shooting , avoid talking (if possible) - it generally sounds put-on and takes away from the quality of the video.

I like the idea of limiting the entries to original content, but it seems like a fairly strict restriction for this forum - especially for videos. How many people are posting original content here? I have posted some, but it is a small portion of all of my posts.

Any thoughts on making a photo contest?

That would be my main concern for the original content contest. We do have quite a few people on the board that record their own stuff (I would say mainly softcore though) but are they going to enter? As it stands right now there are 20 votes for Softcore and 22 for Hardcore, does that mean though that 22 people will be entering or out of those 22 are half just people who want to see the contest happen? I asked that people only vote if they would be entering but some could of overlooked that.

I agree it does put a big limit on the contest, there won't be a limit on how many times one person can enter a different video. But with that said, it doesn't make it much of a contest when a top 10 will be picked for the voting and only 10 people entered.

When I created this thread I thought about putting Photo Contest or Original Photo Contest as something to be voted on but considering photos are much easier to come by I didn't think it would make for a good contest. Don't get me wrong, photos are great and the photo boards here are very popular, new photos being added constantly, but that might be a bad thing for a contest. I can see the thread just exploding with entries to the point where it would be hard to pick any finalists. I think the only way I see a photo contest working is if some kind of limit was applied to it, maybe 10 photos per person or something like that and maybe set it to a specific type of photo.

Two of the main reasons for doing the video contests is to bring something new to the board and to bring more video's to the Softcore/Hardcore sections. A Photo Contest is definitely not out of the question, though. If you or anyone else has any idea's on doing one please let me know.

I think you could realistically do an original photo contest where one of the requirements is that the pictures have to contain the woman's face. That would weed out about 75% of potential entrants and possibly make things more manageable.

With the poll closed looks like we have a winner. First up will be the Hardcore Video Contest (Original Content Only) , second will be the Softcore Video Contest (Original Content Only) and following those probably a photo contest.

The rules and info for the first contest will be posted on January 16th.

I've nothing against hardcore, of course- but it can get a bit same-y. Hopefully we will see a good variety and some unusual ideas, not just close up sex and point of view blow jobs!

I'm not really worried about that, I'm more worried about if people are actually going to enter. The last Hardcore Contest didn't even get one entry and it had a large first place prize. Maybe because it was limited to only cell phone videos?

Hopefully this one goes a lot better.

Good point there.

Self-made hardcore, by it's nature, might be harder to produce as original material.

It also means that in many cases people will need to be confident sending in videos that feature themselves!

Hope it goes well- it's a good idea if well supported.

I feel the softcore theme is potentially the "goldmine" for good clips - hope all goes well, anyway!

- Hmmm. The "same-y" look can be found in any genre. Good original softcore clips are fine with me, but they are very often better when they evolve to include the additional physical and emotional dimensions that good original HC can offer.

Regardless, I'm ready to enjoy any offering.

It's true that same-y clips can be found in any genre, but generally softcore does allow for a bit more scope.

Softcore that leads to hardcore is perhaps the best of all.

The problem with a lot of hardcore stuff (In my opinion) is that it starts literally "seconds away from penetration" , which can take away a lot of the fun.
