[FIXED] can't upload today
 

been trying all day to upload files - can't do it for some reason. Anyone else having trouble? I tried two different browsers. Will keep trying - thanks!

At first glance, our servers look like they are all functioning properly.

Since you have been having trouble, I'll look into this further now.

I uploaded a 40MB file today, which is the largest I've ever uploaded here so I can't really make a comparison but I think this is much slower than normal. This took about an hour, and my net connection should be have been able to handle that in several minutes. I'd tried earlier but given up after probably about 20 minutes as according to some stats from my operating system there had been almost no progress.

I've not downloaded anything from OCC today so don't know if this is running as well as normal but loading pages wasn't a problem. Downloading from OCC is usually very fast by the way. I've not noticed any problems with the rest of the internet today.

I just did a test and uploaded a few files that were of various sizes:

2.07 MB
69.04 MB

Things seem to be working fine (for me) at the moment.

If other people are still having trouble, please let me know details by posting here.

tried several uploads today (within the file size limits). all failed...

We are still trying to track down the problem. It may be a network problem with our host. I haven't gotten a clear answer yet.

We'll continue to do more troubleshooting on our end for the next 12 hours. We may have to shut the forums down for a few minutes at a time while we are investigating the cause.

This appears to be an intermittent problem that isn't effecting everyone. :(

I just uploaded a 30 MB test file, without any problems.

Please post here if you continue to have trouble on Monday, so we can try to narrow down the cause.

I had trouble today. Just tried a 26MB vid and after 5 min I gave up. It took almost 2 min for a 1.4MB pic. I tested my upload speed and it's over 6MB/s

still the same for me on Monday, no uploads possible...

We realize that many users are still experiencing extremely slow upload speeds. We consider this a serious problem and are working on a solution.

i realize ure working on it just wanted to let you know i'm having the same issue, i've been trying to upload larger files with no luck, the pics seem to go but that is about it. . . . and thanks for having a the most kick ass amateur porn site on the internet, we all love it here :)

The problem seems to be worse when uploading larger files.

We'll be working around the clock until this is solved.

It my be a network problem with our hosting company, as opposed to a hardware or software issue that is within our direct control. Either way it's unacceptable and I apologize to everyone who has been having trouble uploading recently.

I'll keep everyone posted here as soon as I know anything new.

That's some good news at least.
It is a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.

I encourage everyone to continue trying to make uploads (if you have the patience :o) while we sort this out.

Technicians at our data center have been working throughout the night testing every possible point of failure (cables, routers, etc..) between our servers and the internet backbone. A couple of issues have been identified. Some changes will involve a few minutes of downtime for each fix.

I'm optimistic that this will be resolved today. Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

Our data center has just made some important changes.

People with uploads, please test them now and report back if you are still experiencing problems.

I'm glad to see things running smoothly again. :)

For a Tuesday, we are actually running under a heavier load of traffic than usual. On a normal day, we usually see a little over 1 GB of new photos & videos uploaded. In the past 6 hours, our members have already uploaded over 2 GB of new files. I guess everybody is getting caught up on their uploads. :D

I'll be keeping a close eye on the forum's performance over the next 24 hours, before definitively saying that this is fixed. So far, so good though.

My uploads went fine just now. I'd say things are back to normal except that Pedro the Fisherman just wrote that he couldn't get two pics to upload (or were slow for him).

Been very slow for for me with any pic over 100k. But may just be me, seems others are mostly working ok.

Hopefully what roman1997 experienced was an isolated problem.
We've seen much more than our usual amount of uploads in the past 24 hours.

Things seem to be running smoothly now and we haven't had any new reports of problems with uploading attachments.

On Thursday, October 5th between 2-3 AM CDT the forums will be offline for about 15 minutes while we make one final change.
