The idea is you try and figure out what location the model is in. When you do, you get to post an image and WE try and guess. This one is nn, but a bit of PS work brings out details under her dress (not posted here) which I find hot!

falavandrel 05-27-2009 06:51 AM

Paris, Rue de Rivoli :)

Revilo 05-27-2009 06:53 AM

Damn you're good! And your entry?

falavandrel 05-27-2009 01:24 PM

Yes Sharksen... please ask your question :D

Not the last poster BUT I definitely know where this was taken, from the background and can only wish I was there to "capture the moment" :-)

Some place in New York City?

I am stumped about the exact location and curious.

I wish I could say this was my loft! :p

Revilo 05-20-2011 04:09 PM

I don't know the USA or New York at all, but if you're correct then that could be Essex Street market behind her from the sign?

Revilo 05-20-2011 04:10 PM

Great resurrection of my old thread by the way, I think it could be a great one!

Bingo. Are you going to post another photo Revilo?

Revilo 05-21-2011 04:47 AM

Good research me! I'll have to have a look through my collection

I don't know the answer, but...

margie 05-21-2011 11:58 AM

YES, Essex St in New York City is right!! I saw this pic, then looked into the background like everyone else ;-) and recognized it. I even went down there to see where the shot could have been taken from and it's a hotel!
Looking forward to the next post!

I think I've seen this spot on the Travel Channel. It looks like the volcanic hot springs in Iceland.

Revilo 05-21-2011 03:59 PM

Well she's definitely been to Iceland, so I'll give you it. Your turn :)

big gimpin 05-22-2011 04:04 AM

I accept

The cruise ships in the background should narrow it to known ports...

This one should be a little hard. Rt 66 is about a thousand miles long, so try to come a little closer
than that.

This is old Route 66 as it parallels Interstate 40 southwest of Kingman, Arizona. The photo is taken facing east just east of Shinarump Road. Hope that is close enough.

My turn:

wayne 05-23-2011 05:53 PM

You're Good!!!!

I'm surprised you didn't give me the GPS numbers. As for the church, it looks more Roman than Greek. The port is unremarkable and so is the breakwater. I can't see the cruise ship well enough to ID it soooo ... you have stumped me. But as a party favor I give you another picture taken very near the first one I posted. You should recognize the place.

Hmmm, Carnival ship. I'd say Ocho Rios.

minneybobnval 05-24-2011 03:09 PM

Love it!

Hey guys, I love the idea of the thread. So far, I haven't been able to positively ID any of them but I still love the challenge! My only question is: do you have any more pics of the woman in the very first photo? Maybe it belongs in a separate thread, but I'd sure love to see more of her in less clothing! Keep up the good work, and when I guess one, I'll play along!!

big gimpin 05-24-2011 03:16 PM

Good job!

May do, I'll have a look when I get chance to fire up that (very old) hard drive!

My turn:

This is a really frustrating one. If they're fountains in the courtyard I'd think either Spain or Morocco. If it's a church, Spain, if it's a mosque Morocco, but I'm not very good at telling the difference sometime. Hunch says Spain.

Well, it's neither a church nor a mosque, and it's not in Spain or Morocco. Try again.

Revilo 05-24-2011 06:35 PM

That's me stumped then! Are they at least star shaped fountains in the front of the building?

Yes, and there are terraced flower gardens both in front and in back that you can't see because the railing (and her boobs) are in the way. Hint: It's not in the Western Hemisphere nor in the Far East.

If no one guesses, I'll post the answer tomorrow.

Actually, Haifa, but close enough.

Here's an easier one. Extra points for naming the sailing ship.

I think the tall ship is the Glenlee, possibly on the River Clyde.

Man, I thought for sure that was the Glenlee. Harrumph. I'll keep looking. Here's a photo of the Glenlee:

dognheat 05-25-2011 04:33 PM

Got it. (I think)

It's the Balclutha at Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco.

big gimpin 05-25-2011 05:50 PM

You got it Dog!

She's at Fort Mason in San Francisco and the ship is, indeed, the Balclutha moored near Fisherman's Wharf.
(Though she does look surprisingly similar to the Glenlee)
