What's the premise of this show anyway? Just various people getting naked in a public setting?

I watched this episode.

All of these women are suffering from confidence and self-esteem issues. So this show goes through a process of discovering what the nature of the problems are (plenty of tears and emotional scenes abound). Attempts to build their confidence are undertaken - culminating with (in the case episode) a nude catwalk in front of friends and family.

I guess nothing builds self-esteem then being chucked muff naked in front of your loved ones and a national tv audience.

Bizarre - especially for the BBC - really.

I watched this also, it was good. I almost capped it but figured somebody would beat me to it. That's one thing thats great about this board - with so many members we have media from all corners of the globe monitored and the best bits posted here.

I was surprised when the audience was made up of friends and family. Sure I saw some mums & dads in the front row. It must have been harder to be naked with friends and families. I would imagine with complete strangers it would be easier. They were brave girls. This was episode 2 of 5. Looking forward to the Nurses episode. :p

It is a format that has been done before- Trinny and Suzannah (What not to wear) Gok Wan (How to Look Good Naked) etc, the idea that a person “improves confidence” through changing their look, then they cap it off with a bit of nudity .

The catwalk style is very good.

The BBC is so much cooler than any channel we have here in the states! Getting random women to get totally naked?!?!? I love it!

Its not cool, trust me, its not. If you own a TV, you HAVE to pay for BBC, about £140 a year. They can arrest you if you don't.

Shows like this are few and far between, and the nude aspect is somewhat spoilt by the blabbing, cliched and over-done "emotional building" aspect of the rest of the show.

Someone needs to do a show like this, but think of a better premice for the show.

the "horny holiday makers" has been done to death, as now has the "insecure normal lady."

Still, good clips though! Best think is just to watch the clips and ignore the rest!

Hi all. I've only popped in here briefly, my chief reason being to save this video clip on this thread of one of the hottest reluctant nudity scenes on TV, just in case the age verification law in the UK is triggered on here (though to be honest, considering I've been a member since 2017 it should be obvious I'm way over the age of 18). To explain, I had my own compilation clip of this scene on the end of a old DVD, but recently discovered that the disc now freezes 3/4 of the way in - hence why I logged in for the video on here. But to my astonishment this thread does not contain the full catwalk - it only contains some of the ladies! So I decided to upload my own video, plus hunting around for any other video version of it to compile it all together for members on here to enjoy.

To recap this extraordinary series, in this episode 5 ordinary estate agents - Bryony, Poppy, Ellina, Holly and Rebecca - all go off to a sort of "wellness retreat" to deal with their body issues and shyness, only to discover that at the end of their week's course they will have to walk down a catwalk naked to prove they have come to terms with their bodies. Needless to say none of them are happy about it (I wish I had the footage of host Jonathan Phang's announcement and reaction, but sadly I don't). I do however have clips of their comments to camera in their rooms, with one girl Poppy telling them how she cannot imagine being happy walking down a catwalk naked with everything on show for people to see, while another, Ellina, says she would rather "stick pins in my eyes." However, despite their protests come the day they ALL walk down that catwalk stark naked with none of their blushes spared the audience (or, may I remind you, the TV camera's) gaze. The fact that they are all so reluctant to do it makes it a real turn on for me, as is the fact that you know that come the climax they WILL have to do it.

My video as mentioned has the intro of the girls, the reactions to camera AFTER being told what awaits them for the end of the week, plus the full catwalk (the original vid here strangely missing Poppy's reveal). Also what was tacked on the end of my video compilation of it was repeat clips of the individual girls and their scenes plus frozen scenes of them which froze rather too literally for me on my DVD, so I've added a slow-mo of the missing segments. I've also added a few screenshots of the ladies themselves not shown in the pics on here. Anyway, hope you enjoy and if the age verification does affect here I hope this makes a fitting video to sign off on.

This is one of my all-time favorite videos, for a lot of the reasons that you mentioned. It's a perfect example of two of my favorite things (which I've made up terms for): exhibarrassment (a woman embarrassed to be doing something exhibitionistic, but going through with it anyway) and cynosure exhibitionism (where a nude woman is the center of attention for a group of people, particularly in a performative way). There have been several different versions of this posted over the years. I've attached the two that are the best quality. One has footage of them practicing walking in their bras.

Come to think of it, I've never seen the full episode of this show. I'd like to, both to see the moment that you mentioned where they learn that they're going to have to walk naked, and just to get some more context in general.

You're welcome. I did have a recording of the whole episode when it was broadcast in 2009 on tape, but obviously I edited the most important part to put on the end of a recordable DVD. When I went to copy the whole episode years later the tape had become so infected with mould that it was unwatchable. You never think of saving the whole episode at the time, but it has never been repeated since and I really wish I had saved it when I had the chance. Oh well, at least we have these to look back on.

Thanks for the videos, by the way. Better quality and always worth rewatching.

Oh, wow, I didn't expect anyone to actually have this! Thank you so much for posting this. This is fantastic!

Here's the clip of the initial announcement and the ladies' immediate reactions. Definitely some genuine shock and emotion on display here. It's hard to believe from seeing this that they all ultimately did parade up and down a catwalk buck naked for national television.
