"First Rain" tomorrow.......?

Sometimes you have to be a weather watcher to get a sense for when people are likely to get naked. Such is the case with UCSC's "first rain" naked run. The other day, I checked previous run dates, and they were often in the first week of October. Well, its the first week of October, folks, so keep an eye on the weather pages. Tomorrow it's forecast to rain in San Francisco. Will Santa Cruz get wet also? I'm willing to bet the answer is yes, and so guys - get set for a flood of pics and vids, and if you live in the area - grab your camera and head to Santa Cruz! Then post your pics right here.....

Yes, that is one of the hats I like to wear :)

Its now official - the forecast for Santa Cruz Friday night is......RAIN! More importantly - FIRST rain!!

Details here:

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/...lect=WEAT HER

Of course, it could hold off until very late, in which case they may run Saturday night instead which should also be wet.

Yehaw! - how I love campus runs and bikes!! There is nothing like them....

BTW - I noticed that often lately, someone will post links to earlier threads on the topic sooner or later. So here goes:

there may be more

OK, can I make it any plainer than this??

Looks like "first Rain" should be on......the circle is where Santa Cruz is. This image was taken Friday afternoon.

(bump, bump...) - and of course, the title of the thread is now misleading: "tomorrow" is now "today"

Good start. The text says hundreds ran, and cars were parked with their headlights on to illuminate the spectacle.

stay tuned...

OK, no new pics yet - but...I came across this item while looking for pics:

http://www.collegeotr.com/gallery/da...1#top_of_image

First off, you will note that this list of top 10 campus streaks is really only a top 5. Duh!

Anyway, I post this link only because it contains a reference to a run I had not heard of before - the University of Minnesota "Jack Mytton" streak. Mytton might be spelled with only one T. As you will note, there is one pic from this streak here at this link. Perhaps there are others.....??

This ranking is kind of backwords. Here is my list of top campus streaks, in order:

*Naked Mile (extinct or not what it used to be) - night
1) UCSC First Rain - night
2) Harvard Primal Scream - night
3) Berkeley Library Streak - daylight (indoors)
4) Tufts Quad Run -night
5) Trinity Senior Streak - daylight
6) Swarthmore Streak - daylight
7) UChicago Polar Bear Run - daylight
8) Lewis and Clark Naked Mile - daylight
9) Hamilton Streaker Club - daylight
10) UMinnnesota Jack Mytton Run -daylight

- based on the pics I've seen....

Here is a more complete top ten list:

http://www.collegeotr.com/college_ot...campuses_12537

Included in the ranking are ten schools of which 4 are new to me, or at least I have not seen pics from them.
These new ones are:

Penn State -Mifflin Streak
Lawrence University
Cal Poly -Streak Hathway
Dartmouth -Streaking the Green, Ledyard Challenge

A few new search terms for you....:)

just biding time here....and learning some new things.

This video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VQyh...eature=related

isn't sexy (heavily censored) but it is interesting. In it, members of the Hamilton Streaking Club are interviewed about their naked activites, which include streaks on many other college campuses besides Hamilton. Anyone got pics? There is a lot of footage here, but it is all censored.

Hey Klondike - I love this thread and all of your input and comments. Unfortunately I don't have anything new to contribute that isn't already posted here. C*cc*zella has a lot of pictures of the Tufts Naked Quad Run and the Harvard Primal Scream Run; but I don't think that we are allowed to post pictures that are downloaded from that site - correct?

These are my favorite types of pics with amateur college girls that would normally die before showing the goods (while sober). There has to be thousands of these pics available on personal computers around the world; we just need to plug those folks into this forum.

Anxiously awaiting pics from this years' 'First Rain' run.

No, we can't post cocco pics although some always manage to sneak thru.

I'm still waiting for pics from first rain too.

Except for the events that have no pictures whatsoever, and excluding the events that are barred from public access... am I right in thinking that "First Rain" is the single most underphotographed college naked event? Klondike, would you mind checking your folders and letting me know? I'm actually genuinely curious about this...

Actually, I checked and I have about 130 pics from first rain. Thats more than from Harvard primal scream, but less than Tufts quad run and Michigan Naked Mile. So it sort of falls in the middle. But considering its size and the number that run - there should be even more pics. And this year......I'm still waiting..........

The Berkeley library streak seems to be more underreported, as I have only vids or vidcaps from it. No pics at all.

So there are the numbers....

Another of flanker7's vids is from the Tufts Quad Run 2007. This run really impressed me with the turnout of women. Wow! Although the vid only shows backsides, it is clear that the M:F ration is at least 50:50, perhaps 40:60. Large groups of women continually pass in front of the camera. They run in packs, often holding hands, ranging in size from 3-10 or more babes. Usually fully nude, too. It is really something to watch. I may have to revise my ranking posted earlier in this thread to bump this run up near the top of my list. We're talking hundreds of female runners here.

check it out - below, a seven girl pack - there were tons of these

I cross checked this vid against my coccozella pics from this run. The cocco pics are full frontal. What is so noteworthy about these pics is that not only do the babes run in packs but EVERY babe is fully nude.

These are not from this year, but rather from the UCSC First Rain/Porter Run a couple years ago. I don't think they have been posted here before. I stumbled across them while looking for photos of this year. Admittedly, the quality is poor, and most are rear rather than frontal shots, but a couple (especially the last one!) are keepers.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that more/better photos of this year show up. Perhaps because I've been spending so much time recently looking at photos of people getting naked in the desert, I'm really interested in seeing more of these people running naked in the rain.

So, let's see here. Lots of attractive, fully naked girls, grouped together. Check. Where are the guys? Grouped together with other guys, apparently. Jeez, someone needs to smack the men upside their heads. "Coed Naked Runs: You're Doing it Wrong."

I guess it must be kinda hard to squeeze in between the girls when they are holding hands....:)

Thanks: first, because the pictures are good; second, how did you stumble? I ask because when I searched, and used "full text" with "first rain" in quotes (since using "first" and "rain" separately gives, like, a zillion, or at least well over the ~4000 you can actually see with a Flickr search), I didn't find 'em...Anyway, excellent catch.

In this case I think it was just: <santa cruz first rain> with no quotes. For something like this I'll try as many combinations as possible and I searched off an on over the course of several days and luckily this one hit. While I'm glad this hit, it's a reminder that it's entirely possible that there are tons of photos from this and every other event we're interested in on flickr, but don't have tags we'd think of and some maybe don't even have tags at all. Some of the best photos I've seen on flickr I found just by going through friends lists of people whose photos did match up. When I've gotten to the friends' albums I've found some nice pics from exactly the event I'm looking for with absolutely no tags or searchable filenames. This happens rarely, but it's nice when it does.

Its also called the "Porter run" by some, I believe.

Good work! That was a great catch because who would have thought "First" and "Rain" would have been listed as separate tags. Also "Santa" and "Cruz" for that matter.

a year has gone by and I am bumping this thread because "first rain" is due again in Santa Cruz probably Monday (20% chance) and more definately Tuesday (90% chance according to wunderground). Now I apologize if this has already happened this fall because i haven't been paying that close attention. Anyway, but lets start searching for pics, now perhaps but especially after Tuesday! Post 'em here!

thanks,

This just happened again on Monday. I haven't found any new pics (I'm sure most of those are on facebook accounts, probably private), but in looking around I came across an old set from a few years ago, which appears to be new to this board. Not worth starting a new thread, but well worth posting.

I also came across a good video on youtube, which I'm going to upload to rapidshare to save it from the TOS monster.

Edit: I actually realized they're in Klondike's comprehensive zip of first rain photos, which can be found here http://www.sendspace.com/file/7hruys. I don't think they've been posted directly on the board, so I'll just leave them here. I feel like deleting pictures of naked girls is like taking points off the board in football after a defensive penalty. It's just something you don't do.

Klondike 10-14-2009 01:30 AM

Fango has posted a vid from 2009 which is quite well done despite lousy audio. Otherwise, yes - those pics are not new but thats OK.

I figure this year we can't do any worse than last year when no pics surfaced at all that I can recall.

Ususally it rains in Santa Cruz early in October. Who's ready to catch the naked students when it happens?

Klondike 10-06-2010 02:12 AM

Yup, I haven't been watching the weather reports much lately, but tomorrow there is a 30% chance of rain in Santa Cruz. Will this be their "first rain"? Who will be there???

first rain 2010

The news from twitter is that about a hundred naked people ran last night at UCSC, although it didn't sound like it really rained much. This means there may be another, bigger run still to come. Keep checking weather reports, twitter for news, and youtube (vids) or Flickr (pics). Thats about all I can tell you...

flanker7 10-23-2010 03:52 PM

Yes, many of the twitter posts I saw mentioned it wasn't the official run because it was a weekend. So hopefully that means more to come.
