Another for the "how did we miss this" files: today was come-to-work-naked day at 27 US locations of Lush stores. They did this a year or so ago in UK, a couple of weeks ago in Berlin (first 3 pics), and today in NYC (4th), Aspen (5th) and Seattle, if not also other places! The last is the only pic at Flickr I found so far, but they should be coming, based on the number of cameras showing in the coverage...

This was on the news tonight - there was a local protest in Portland. So I was hoping to do a search over at Flickr.

Are they protesting something, or is someone protesting them? Is it staff only, or do customers go too? I will do some Googling, and get back to you with my findings.

Here's a few from Seattle. Sorry about the quality but I only had my phone with me.

I was there when the protest was getting started and the employees were stripping right in the store before walking out to the plaza in front to hand out flyers delivering the message that products should be naked (no packaging). Their tag line is "Ask me why I'm naked".

There were plenty of cameras on hand including TV, so there should be more to come.

A few more. The first is from this year, unknown location. The next three are ones from previous years I found a while back but forgot to post (I think). Pics 3&4 are somewhere in Scandanavia, can't remember where. The last one is US, the blog said Chicago, but I think that's incorrect given the photos of this year's Chicago store in the following post.

Great stuff so far, everybody. Two things I wonder:

- Do they get paid more to do this?

- Are they forced to do this, or can they opt out? "Get naked or you're fired!". Sounds like a good premise for an ENF story. :D

BTW, kudos to the Chicago Tribune for not censoring the video. It's tough to find a major media organization willing to show an ass in a thong these days, let along bare ass. So good on them.

Oh, and if those aprons weren't quadruple knotted, I would totally try to pull one off. And you know you would too. :D

From what I've read, they do this annually. Most of the older photos and stories are from Europe though. I think they did this in about 25 US cities last year. Wasn't very heavily promoted ahead of time, but next year we can anticipate it.

Where's the other cities? 25 cities and who knows how many cameras in action--there's got to be more out there.

More a promotional stunt than a protest, to be honest. Also wearing a large apron that covers the front half of your body isn't actually naked. Yes, I'm a cynical bugger!

From what I could see on the Youtube videos, the employees don't *have* to go naked - some just didn't, and some wore underwear (plus some towns required them to wear underwear.) But most of the employees seemed to be having a good time with it, including some who said they'd never gone naked in public before. Also, I noticed quite a range of how tight the aprons were tied, though of course the people with larger butts were less covered in general.

...yes, the last one is Vancouver BC (the "Robson" in the file name refers to one of their locations, on Robson Street) not Chicago; they apparently did theirs a week or two before USA this year. These are from: Amsterdam (1,2), San Francisco (3), and Bethesda MD (4). Also, does anyone know how to capture single shots from an Adobe slideshow? There are a couple of nice pictures at http://www.kirotv.com/slideshow/vj/17316309/detail.html I'd like to get.

Actually, the "Scandinavia" ones were Netherlands (Haarlem); here's another from the woman on the right of the 4th picture (Vancouver BC); then another of a woman in my first post, from Berlin; then one I don't know where; then Carnaby Street (London); then the rest from Gateshead UK. All but the Vancouver and Berlin from last year, and larger of Gateshead at http://www.flickr.com/photos/sminkit...7606941094854/ . I liked how with these, unlike so many of the US ones, but like the Oz/NZ ones in the videos, the aprons didn't meet so well in back...

Crispus' naked cell phone promo photos on another thread got me searching around, and what did I come up with but some more Lush photos.

First a little front and back contrast, not posted already. Can't remember what store.

The next three are from St. Louis. Nice looking girls, nudity limited to hidden/side. I'd love to find more of this.

Next up are a few more from the NYC Herald Square store. The best pics of the dark-haired girl were already posted above, but I figured I'd include the covered frontal pics just for completeness. She's lovely, and I love seeing the pictures of her on the streets of Manhattan handing out flyers, even if the nudity is hidden.

This next group is from Scottsdale, AZ. The girls at this store are easily the most attractive I've seen at any Lush store. Unfortunately the only photos I could find were from mainstream media, so most are just covered/hidden, but there are a few where we get some side and even a little bit of rear nudity. I included all the NN pics as well, because as I said some of these girls are gorgeous.

The rest of the Scottsdale pics, and lastly one pic a girl from a Scottish store (can't remember what city) posted on her personal myspace.
