Painted Cyclists..without paint!
 

Great thread, Pedro! I like the unpainted riders/walkers best, mostly because I'm not into bodypainting, and the unpainted people around bodypainted people makes them stand out more. They are truly exhibitionists among exhibitionists.

My favorite so far is the one with the African-American couple. They look so calm just standing there stark naked. The pic has a surreal quality to it as well, as they are the only naked people in the pic.

Pedro: She's doing what Mardi Gras watchers call "earning her beads," though a lot more interestingly (to me, at least) than one normally sees.

Re: Woman in the second picture in post 2, NOBODY captured her better than Klondike; while he only got a couple of her riding and none after, go to the "2007-pre-ride" pages at his site http://www.riverslug.com/newmain.html (he also posted at least some of them here, but they're all there) and BE AMAZED. Here's another view of her riding. Since she was a major favorite, a search of the Fremont '07 threads should get you plenty of her.

More of another in Pedro's post; she was also a minimalist in '05.

...and some ones I didn't see in Pedro's posts (though they're probably on this mysterious HD we're all salivating to peruse!). Sorry about the small sizes on some, but in earlier years there really weren't that many hi-res out there.

Hi crispus, is that girl in the first shot the same one you posted for my request? I seem to remember she was around the year before too, but with some paint?

As to my 'now famous' old HD, it is sitting here but I cannot get to it! My battery in my MB went down and the PC would not boot up. We got round this by changing the bios to just the main HD and ignoring the slave (which is the old one).

Because good IT is difficult to get here, and I do not want to mess up what IS WORKING, I have decided that I can live without the slave until I take the PC in for an upgrade. It will be a nice suprise for you all (and me) when I get it back, but do not hold you breath!

Here is new photo of the 2008 unpainted pair, no faces, but the detail is so good, you can almost count her pubic hairs! I have had to reduce it in size to post it here!!!

My first reaction is that I wish we had this attitude here in America...
But then I realize that I would run the risk of seeing my mother-in-law walking around totally naked...
Kind of puts a damper on the whole idea...

This girl is one of my all time favorites in the Solstice parade. Whats really weird I ran into her on the Street a few months back... Talk about weird I just gave her a friendly Man Knod it was all I could do. I respected her for her nude riding.

We love your detective work too! It is indeed she, though she hitched a ride in '05, and your sequence is from '06, when she was going to ride but her bike didn't cooperate; if you check the sequence of file numbers, you'll see she's dressing here. Also, I don't believe she's connected to the naked man (her friends are the two with bikes she poses with): in everything else I've seen with him, it appears he's with the hatted and gartered redhead. Here's another bike picture from '06, if not for you (since by finding these you make me think you probably already have anything with her!) then for fango.

Pedro et al.: It's probably two unrelated things, and a little hard to tell since "the shot by the clothes rail" is not from the same set as the other two and doesn't have a time stamp in its exif, but based on how the parade and fair play out, here's my mix of fact and speculation. First, the woman dresses in harem pants and top and goes to Fremont; at 12:32 pm, about 1/2 hour after the official parade starts, but after the bikes have come through, an early parade participant is the stilt guy. As many men once only did for Mardi Gras in New Orleans, but now people for any excuse (Kentucky Derby, Fremont, etc., or just going to a party and hoping for the best) will do, he had stocked up on a bunch of bead necklaces and had them around his neck. When I referred in that earlier post to "earning your beads," I meant that at Mardi Gras a tradition started: I'll throw you beads if you flash me. Well, she got naked and walked up to him, he reached down and gave her the beads, she put them on and walked back out of the street. At almost 1:28 pm, there she is dancing in the parade; whether that was equally spontaneous or she was already part of a group I can't tell from the picture, but looking at the original picture set's sequence might help clarify. During and after the parade there is a street fair in side streets off the parade route, and in an alley between the parade route street and the street fair proper (for which you need to be officially approved to have a booth), a small business had set up a "sidewalk" sale of their own, with a bunch of clothes on offer. Liking the look of something, our heroine decides to try it on and voila, there she is, doing that with as much inhibition as she earlier (that day, and also a couple of years earlier, based on that other photo) showed getting beads. Whether this picture was before or after trying the garment on we also can't say without THAT sequence of pictures to look at, and I've only ever seen that one alone. So there you have it! Crispus
