Danica Patrick loses her pants?
 

Okay, I'm not 100% certian about this; not that long ago, I remember a female race car driver mentioning that her most embarrassing moment was getting into a wreck, and being carried off the track in her underwear. She wasn't injured, but her pants were cut off by the EMTs. I don't follow racing, but I'm pretty sure it was Danica Patrick. It could have been another female driver, though. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Yes. I heard about this, but I don't think it was Danica.

Danica hasn't had any bad wrecks. The worst one I can remember happening to a female driver was Shirley Muldowney, the drag racer, who had her right leg almost twisted off in a crash, but that was decades ago.

Katherine Legge didn't get hurt in her big crash.

She did do a shoot for FHM magazine in 2002 or '03 or so. There's a great pic of her wearing black panties with her asscrack showing. I do have it, but it's watermarked and I wouldn't want the mods to go all batshit crazy.

Glad to see this thread revisited, but can't believe that nobody has heard of this, or has photos. I don't think it was Danika, but it WAS a female race car driver. I clearly remember reading the article where she mentions her embarrassment over having her pants cut off, but can't remember where I saw it.

It was probably Sarah Fisher.

OCC has thousands of new members since this thread was first posted back in 2008, but we still have no answer as to who the driver that lost her pants was. I think we can justify bringing this thread back up to the top. So, does anyone know who she was? Photos? Video? Anything?

The problem is there isn't much to go on. even if we could narrow it down to what sport. as in Nascar, Indy, F1, Touring Cars etc

Googling for the story brings up nothing either.

well if i were there i would have gotten a picture for you ;) .. it happened to one of my girlfriends a few years ago .. she was in an accident and the EMT`s immediately cut her clothes off .. much to their pleasure and her anguish they found out she does`nt wear undergarments .... hA ..:eek:

I read the article online, about ten years ago (give or take). I don't follow racing, and I don't remember what I was searching for (I was almost certianly using yahoo as the search engine, though). She mentioned being humiliated because her pants were cut off in front of the crowd. I believe she said it was the most embarrassing moment of her career, which was probably what caused me to read the article in the first place. I didn't think that there were that many female drivers in the sport, so I figured that it would be fairly easy to pinpoint who she was.

I don't suppose you have any photos? I knew a girl who had the same thing happen. It was during the designer jeans craze, in the '80's. She broke her leg in a car accident, and they cut off her jeans (and one boot). They didn't do it at the scene, they snipped them off at the hospital. She wasn't concerned about the exposure, but she was furious about losing the $70 designer jeans (this was back when a pair of Levis cost under $10). A silly fad, but women DID look great in those jeans. I wonder if we have a thread about them on OCC.

I was in a motorcycle accident and yes the EMTs immediately cut every bit of clothing off me... I was shocked and asked "what are you doing?" I was told it was proceedure.. once all of them had a good look at me.. and most the crowd that had formed... they finally threw a sheet over me. Geez guys have some class huh? I was only 19 at the time

Even your underwear? Were you wearing a leather jacket etc? Did they at least cut at the seams, so that it could be re-stitched?

Yes what do you know..Why would they take off everything and leave the bra on. Most motor racing injuries are caused to the upper body...ginecologist????

I was wearing a nylon riding jacket with a tee underneath with jeans. They laid me out on the ground on my back and ran a pair of scissors up each leg to the waist and pulled my jeans away. then cut off the jacket, starting at the wrist and up the arms , then up the sides. Then the shirt and bra were cut together and my undies last...

Were you banged up bad? And once they cut your clothes off, did they do anything that would have required you to be naked either in the ambulance or at the hospital or was it just blind adherence to the so called procedure?

Some nasty road rash and my knees were skinned up pretty bad. I crushed a shoulder, and injured one side of my hip. But after they threw the sheet over me they brought out a stretcher and loaded me in the ambulance. One sat next to me while the other drove .. but no, nothing went on in the van. So yeah, it was like a proceedure. When they arrived it was the first thing they did...
