It has a long tradition in Japan. It is called Nyotaimori in Japanese. There are rituals and customs governing dining, such as using chop sticks and respecting the dignity of the model, including no touching without permission.

Although one can order Nyotaimori catering, there are also Nyotaimori restaurants, even in the U.S., like Naked Sushi in Las Vegas.
