Man , is it time to move to Finland or what? Or am I just assuming they are from there? Maybe they're from Russia. I don't know, but they're great anyway! I'd seen one or two of these at most, but didn't know there was a full set. Muchos, muchos gracias or how ever you say it in Finnish!

In the not too distant future, we may be able to look at a photo like that with some scenery and mountains, then go to google earth and track down the exact location. :)

In this case though, I think there is about a milion square miles of Siberia to check - might take a while....

You're right though - those pics look so inviting and the girls are so beautiful. But its strickly a family affair there - no Americans allowed :(

BTW - to search "sauna" in Russian, switch to your Russian keyboard and type the keys "cfeyf"

then try a search, but at google although it returned a lot of hits, not much seemed worth posting.

I've had better luck with other russian search terms. A great one to try is bodyart. I've temporarily lost the Russian term for this, but I'll look for it. Naturism is yfnehb"v on your Russian keyboard. Note I'm telling you what keys to press on your keyboard, not giving you the actual word in Russian (which won't display in OCC).

I'd also like to dedicate this thread to all those hardy Russians that brave incredibly harsh winters wearing nothing but a smile. And to the internet for making the world a smaller place where we can get a glimpse into their private lives.

Looking at that last pic got me thinking - there is something about saunas, leaves, and eastern European women that together make for an awful lot of hidden nudity pics. What exactly are they doing? Is this some kind of herbal bath or treatment? just curious because if i find out, i can then tell Fango and who knows - maybe there is a WHOLE SITE dedicated to this practice. :)

See the pic below, and then think about how that pic and the one above were taken at least thirty years apart. Anyone know what they are doing with the plant thing? I don't think they are poms poms for Russian peasant cheerleaders. Fango and I want to know, right Fango?

*shrugs* I've gotta be honest, I've never much cared for the type of Hidden Nudity pic where the girl is holding something huge that covers her entire body, right up against her body. She might as well be actually wearing something at that point. I realize that's just a characteristic of the single pic you posted, and just my personal preference. If she were holding it a couple inches away (like in most Hidden Nudity pics with signs that are body sized, for example), then that would be good, or if the leaves were seperated into two parts and she were holding them in the appropriate locations. If you have any pics like those, I'd like to see them.

I do, but I've posted them already - probably in the weekly covered hidden thread. Sometimes the leaves are clumped, sometimes separated so that you can see something. But seldom are they held very far from the body.

Anyway, i've probably seen a couple dozen of these by now.

The leaves are birch leaves and are traditionally used for beating the body to help remove the sweat, dirt and flakes of skin from the body. Basically, they're rustic loofahs.

Maybe I've watched too many tv clips and read too many articles about saunas, but I thought that was pretty well known!

No kidding, well I guess I'm still living in the dark ages, then. I still use what we call a "sponge". :)
