Hey guys, did anyone catch it? I missed it, now all i have is the news... A cute girl posted videos of herself in spandex and less exercising with the WII. SHe took them down because she was too embarrassed. Did anyone get copies before?

I saw the video. It looks fine to me. Granted, it's not the best quality video so it's a little hard to tell, but I think it can stay.

I have a feeling this could be " viral " marketing- IE staged clips put online to promote the WII.

what video is that from!? i havent seen it. as for susansusan i totally agree. and its working. so i think more companies should sell like this. and once that starts happening. screw watching tv. give me commercials.

I see what you are saying and you may well be right. However, one thing that makes me doubt that this is a phony staged clip is that the girl is flat chested, young-looking, and a bit dorky. Don't get me wrong -- I think she is amazingly beautiful and I'd give my left nut to hookup with her. She's exactly my type. But the fact is, most of world's public relations firms use the more traditional sexy looking girls (i.e. large breasted, somewhat white trash looking girls) as promotional models. In other words, if the Wii marketing folks wanted to put out a staged video I think they'd use a girl who looks more like Carmen Electra and less like Natalie Portman (though I personally prefer Natalie to Carmen). Know what I mean?

Unless, of course, they are very clever. Which I think they are. You say it yourself- she is your type. My type too.

The key to viral marketing is being subtle- and obvious big boobed model type girls would simply not have been right for these clips.

But if it was viral marketing, why would the videos then be pulled, with the girl claiming she was embarrassed? They're not that clever. They're not going to go to all the trouble of creating and making the campaign and then pull the videos...I don't think...

Well, the vids are still around on You Tube, and on other sites - like this! Once a video is online, its online for ever- and I think (assuming it is viral) that the marketers would be well aware of this. Saying the orginal girl pulled them becasue she was embarassed might well be part of the marketing- hell, its got my attention!

The whole point of viral marketing is that it is subtle and clever.

They don't seem to be anywhere on You Tube at this point and they don't seem to exist anywhere else. Where can you find them now? I'm sure many would like to know :)
