Blah's Attempt
1 Attachment(s)
Sorry Fritzyy it took so long. I've been busy at my job all week so here is my attempt. I used mostly the "Gaussian Blur" from the "Blur" filter to get rid of most of the specks. I used a weak blur on the cmyk channel which is all four channel selected at the same time on the channel pallet and a stronger blur on only the cyan, magenta, and yellow channels. I also with the Lasso tool to select certain areas of the image that need work and applied a stronger blur on the main channel (cmyk) and indeviduel channels (cyan), (magenta), and (yellow). I've also used other filters such as "Dust & Speaks" on the "Noise" filter. After cleaning up the Image I applied a "Unsharp Mask" to give the image more depth after bluring it so much. I'm not good at interpreting things or at spelling so this is my best explaination.

A good way to decrease graininess is to reduce size. After all what's the point of a pic too big to fit on the screen?

It was really challenging to restore this picture not to mention I used every Blur, Noise Filter as possible to get rid of the speaks. But it was a rewarding experience since I learned from my mistakes. It took me 2 hours and several attempts to clean it up I pretty much used the same techniques from my previous post.

It's been a long time since I posted. Here's my cotribution for today it took nearly 3hrs to complete. Most time spent trying to remove to speaks and at the same time not destroying the image which takes a lot of patience and discipline and espeacialy experience.

Loop, great job thank you. How about the other ones? Bigi, how old is the pic?.....do you see the stubby beer bottle???? |
What's your technique, I use the Median, Dust&Scratchs, and Gaussian Blur filters. Is there any other filters you recommend for getting rid of noise and spots.
