Some pics from the Naked Pumpkin Run on Halloween in Boulder, Co. This event is now being held in other cities. For the first time, Seattle and Vancouver had runs, so its been "franchised" now like the WNBR. Good news! Lighting appears to be pretty good here for night shooting. Any more pics?

Just think of how much fun you can have with a pumpkin on your head.

found some over at the yahoo group.

Its not easy keeping a pumpkin on your head while you run. Notice most of the runners seem to be trying to hold the pumpkin in place. That means fewer hands available to cover boobs, privates, etc. :) Whoever came up with this idea was a genius....

This is excellent. I learned something very important from watching this vid - there are a HELL of a lot more runners in this race than i thought. From pics alone, you can't tell that. But the vid shows everyone and there are several hundred runners which really surprised me. I would have guessed 50 max. Thanks Redikop and now there'd be a real reason to spend a halloween night in Boulder.

This ain't no puny run folks - check out the vid.

Be a virtual participant in the pumpkin run

This vid shows a participant view. Most shots are of the backsides of other runners but given that the run starts in a parking garage, several scenes are well lit.

One of the best quality naked run vids I've seen in a long time.

I just FS'd it on my 20 in monitor, then took a screen cap (see below) Quality is good even in full screen mode, although the cap doesn't really do it justice (they rarely do)

Thanks, Danny - I think this event has arrived...:)

This years run is scheduled for Oct 31st. I have pics from Boulder, Seattle and Phoenix. I wonder if any new cities will be having one this year?

you'll enjoy these - the babes are pretty hot. These girls almost remind me of the Roskilde runners. Note the ratio too- 6 runners, four of whom are women.

Also, do these people look like they are actually running? Try standing around or walking, begging for photo-ops?? I think I'll tag along next year. I ought to be able to keep up with them no problem. And that makes these more like NIP pics than naked runner pics too. Karl will love them. And that last pic may be my favorite of all pumpkin run pics. Could be I'm having a fantasy about the babe on the far left....

Credit Crispus for unearthing these..

Ahhh.....Seattle. Nudity is becoming almost......passe......?

enjoy,

BTW, I forgot to mention, these are from Seattle's 2007 run. I thought they were from 2008 at first because of the way the gallery was worded. But those are the same six runners that participated last year (Nov 3rd - coming up again soon!! I can still cover it!!)

EDIT: I can't find a date for this year's Seattle run. Anyone?

Klondike

KarlMalone 10-28-2008 11:46 PM

Awesome! Love them doing it in broad daylight!!!

Klondike 10-29-2008 12:07 AM

I just realized something. This pic:

https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/atta...0&d=1225245966

is clearly taken in the Fremont District (the famous bridge i got on by mistake last year that practically ended my photography career is pictured in the background).

That is Leary St at Fremont St, and it's right along the Fremont Solstice Parade route.

They don't just get naked ANYWHERE in Seattle. They chose proven "nudity safe" zones. :) Maybe they think that will help keep them from getting arrested, despite the fact that they are crossing against the light and the walk signal!

BTW - any OCC members live in Seattle? This years run is only days away, its in broad daylight, and you can't always depend on "friends pics of friends" to fill these threads.

As with last year and '06, the run will be at night on Halloween, at the east side of Seattle's Green Lake, starting, or at least assembling to start, about 9PM. I think the daylight version from last year, which happened a couple days later and, as Klondike notes, was a bit of a jog combined with a lot of stroll and frequent pauses (whether for traffic or photos or both), was unplanned or practically spontaneous; unlike the night event, it didn't appear on the web ahead of time...

Yeah, I've been seeing this sort of thing the past few years. Unpublicized daylight excursions. Portland has had them in association with WNBR day. I've also seen pics from daylight Pedalpalooza events with some toplessness. All unpublicized.

There may be a yahoo group where this type of info might be found in private messages. Otherwise, I wonder what one would find if they were to park their butt up in the Fremont District this Sunday? Thats where the daylight NPR pics were taken last year.

John Cornicello added a couple of new pics to his Seattle 2007 gallery.

In the first pic, a girl loses her pumpkin and we get to see her......face! Wow - totally exposed now for the whole internet to see!

Or maybe they wear those pumpkins so that we'll focus on their "naughty bits". :) (in reference to another current thread...)

Check this out - a guy unexpectedly came across the daylight runners in Seattle today. So this confirmed there was a 2008 daylight run in the Fremont District. Great to know because that'll make it easier to find more pics.

a new one for me - 2007 Boulder.

This years Boulder run was huge, but cops ticketed many riders near the end. They apparently have been wanting to do this for years, but had been understaffed in the past. While they were ticketing runners, a violent gang r*pe occured in another part of town that was not responded to because, well, they were ticketing (and presumably ogling) naked runners, of course.

Or, well - something to that effect. I am probably elaborating a bit...

Klondike

Klondike 11-02-2008 02:53 AM

Regarding Seattle's daylight run, it appears as if only two guys participated. I thought the person on the left in my photo posted above was a woman. But John Cornicello has pics up now at Flickr and they show only two guys.

Last year - 2 guys, 4 babes
This year - 2 guys

something is missing....

Sorry to keep bumping this without pics, but another item of interest just surfaced.

Portland, OR apparently held a naked pumpkin run this year. The location was undisclosed, however. I have not seen any pics. Maybe someone like, oh say, just to pic a random OCC member.......mmmm..........how about, um........Crispus......? Maybe HE has seen or can find us pics.....:D

for a little humor (in the absense of any pics) here is a response online from one enthusiastic reader to the news that Portland would have a run.

"Holy shit, you know I wanna be there! That sounds SO awesome I am wiggling in my seat right NOW"

:D "wiggling" indeed.......

cheers,

Klondike
