Summernats - now with sound
 

Hello everyone. Firstly, sorry if I am doing this all wrong but don't really know what I am doing.... I am the guy that filmed the summernats videos that are within a couple of threads here. These two clips have not been posted before and both include audio which may or may not enhance the whole experience.... if you are in to that kind of thing. To be honest most of the audio is just shouting and screaming but then again that is all you would hear if you were there anyway.

I have a few more that I know are totally new that I will add here as time permits.

If there is interest I can post all the old clips again with full sound. What does everyone think?

Anyway if I get this right I should be uploading two caps from the videos followed by the vids themselves... if it all goes wrong I am happy to take advice on how to get it right.

The girls on this bus were professional strippers and to me that is not quite as exciting as seeing the amateur girls flashing. Then again sometimes the 'professional' girls can seem rather amatuer. This has nothing to do with Summernats but a while back I was getting a lap dance from a "professional" and she fell off my lap kicking me in the head in the process. Best lap dance I have ever had because she seemed more like a girlfriend than a stripper.

Anyway sorry about the dodgy camera work in these clips. Trying to hold a camera steady at the same time as you are chasing a moving bus and trying to fight off hundreds of other drunken guys trying to see some boobies is not as easy as I thought it might have been.

Don't want to sound like a whinger here... although I probably will... but those last two videos only managed 30 views in about 24 hours. The videos yet to come are all along the same lines so I figure they will not be any more popular. Is it worth continuing?

The quality of these clips is not that great. With the low light after sunset and the cars going past rather quickly it can be hard to keep the camera pointing in the right direction. It also makes it hard for the autofocus.

Oh and about the codec. Well I don't really know much about this. What I can tell you is that I used Nero 7 to make all the clips if that helps.

Today's first clip, number 121, represents one of my greatest failures from the Summernats. The girl that is closest to the camera at the start of the clip had looked the most likely to flash of all of them and I ran along beside the truck they were in for suite some time trying to convince her to show me something. Eventually she did flash but by this time the truck was doing a fair speed and I was sprinting along behind it. Sadly when I looked at what had been filmed I had missed the good part. This clip is from the next time they came past and she refused to show again. Thankfully her friend was good enough to show me one although it is a shame I could not have got a better angle.

After these clips there are only two more to come. As I said at the start of this post though I have recaptured all my original clips which are posted on this board in other threads. The clips in other threads have no sound though. Is it worth reposting all that content just for the sound?

I think it would be more worth it to repost them so we have all of the Summernats videos in one place. Thanks for all your work, gazza74.

BTW, I'm having a lot of problems with the Summernats_127 video. I'm getting all kinds of error messages and GSpot is telling me that it's not even a valid video file. I think it got corrupted somehow. could you possibly re-upload it or try to re-encode it?

Well these are far from my favourite clips but rather than pick and choose I am posting all I got. Clip 007 might not be worth downloading for anyone but the most dedicated video collector because what you see in the pic is about as good as it gets. I can't even tell if this girl actually showed nipple or not. She was getting in to the spirit of the night though and that is the important thing.

Oh and I noticed this thread has been rated one star. Which means crap right? I really don't care about the rating much and I am not looking for supportive comments, so I will keep posting for now. But if anyone wants me to stop feel free to say so. I'm not posting these for my own entertainment so speak up if you think I am wasting your time.

Sorry sjudge but I can't give you any advice on getting them to work on a Mac. I am very much an amateur with this type of thing. All the clips were made with Nero as MP4s. Maybe you can find something on the Nero website that might help?

Yes, the clips in that thread, as well as another one in here somewhere, are basically the same. Only difference is that these ones have sound. If having the sound doesn't interest you then there is little point in downloading all the repeats.

Since you mention it though, why did the other thread only get 35 clips? Was that all you ever downloaded or were some of them against the rules of the forum? I don't think any of these clips do breach the rules but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I may be stating the obvious here but the girl in 27 is the same girls from 26. It is just a close up. Not sure why I zoomed in quite that close, ususally I like to see the girl's face, but that's just me.

Oh and the girl in 28 doesn't flash. We all asked nicely but she just did not give in to the crowd. The guy with her did lift her shirt up but she managed to keep herself covered. Still a fun video I think even though no nipple was exposed.

First of all I'd like to say a big thanks to Gazza74 for his contributions.

I have actually got a few videos of Summernats that I have taken myself. I'm in the process of making them into smaller clips, cos i'm sure you don't want to have to downlaod a 4gb DV file from the camera :)
The question I have is should i post them i nthis thread once i'm done, so it's all in one place, or would you rather I put them in a totally new thread to keep them seaprate?

Mrbionetic, I don't mind either way what you do with your material. Feel free to add it in here if you like, if not though I will look forward to seeing it in another thread. Sounds like you have quite a lot of footage though. Is it all girls or did you film some of the cars too? Which year or years did you film?

I've got DV video from last year, and crappy digital still camera movies from the year before. I intend to go to at least two days in January, so hopefully I'll have some more stuff from then as well. I've got a few friends that come down from Sydney, and if they get any decent stuff, i'll be sure to grab a copy before they leave.

The reason it's so big is because i'm lazy (having 1.7 TB of HDD space does that to me :) ) and I just dumped it straight from the camera onto my hard drive , and digital cameras native format is about 3.5 Mb a second. I'll convert into more manageable files though. Does there seem to be any consensus on what the best format is? I'm a big fan of WMV, but if people prefer mpeg or xvid i can do it either way.

Well Mrbionetic I look forward to seeing your work. I have not been to the last three years so everything you have will be new to me. I will probably get out there again for the next one. Being the 20th Summernats it should draw a good crowd. Last time I checked things a four day pass was not much different to two individual days so I might get the pass again.
