This is quite unusual. It almost looks like the dancers are advertising their bodies with some older women (maybe their mothers) supervising and making sure they are not displayed too long. Very interesting but sexy in its own way. I'd like to see more of this and get a better explanation of what it is about.

Andhra Pradesh is a region in India, not a person's name. I saw this once on a program about India, and specifically Bollywood. These dances have always had a flirtatious quality, but stripping and full nudity have only begun appearing recently - just as in Indian cinema. It's controversial, to say the least. This didn't take long...a little research produced this.

"The pictures accompanying the Bihar strip dance story are from a clip known as the Andhra Nude Dance or the Sonpur video (the name Andhra is sometimes replaced by the names of some cities, no one knows exactly where it is from), which has been available on the internet at least since 9 June, 2005. Which means that it was originally taken much, much before Patil's dance bar ban acquired critical mass."

Though the source of this is unclear, it appears that this is now worked it's way in to some Indian political scandal.
