Bizarre 80s TV
 

This was an old show which started airing on Showtime way back when. Stand up comic John Byner
was the host of the show. It eventually moved to syndication and was shown on non pay channels many places.
I didnt watch it very much at the time. If I had known it was like this I probably would have !

Posters from many places said they often let things slip on regular tv..or things were covered shot from alternate angles.

The Bizarre show that aired on Showtime Cable TV in the 1980's was one of my favorites. On the show, more specifically the original ones on cable, did more then let things slip - they featured topless actresses in the various sketches in nearly every episode.

I have a few of these vids also from one of the peer networks out there, and attached is the video from what I believe is the 3rd preview pic up from the bottom - the one with Byner acting as a policeman who pulls over the woman in the car who is wearing the light blue tube top.

I have some of the Bizzare Eps on a VHS I picked up on ebay awhile ago, one of these years I'll get around to posting stuff from that tape as well.

1.Hospital Strip - This skit I first saw on Benny Hill, later it was redone on one of the Univision shows (less nudity on both)

2.Photog screws with some topless models

I remember this show. There was a skit where he was playing a doctor, and he had the woman remove her top while performing a check up. At the end it was apparent he didn't really need her to remove her top in order to perform the check up. So she asked, "Why did you need me to take of my top"? He replied "I didn't need you to, I just wanted to see your tits".

I love that "for the naked" video. Hysterical. For what its worth, I think the same thing (topless woman in the little box on the screen) was in a troma movie that I once saw, can't recall the name of the movie though. If anyone else knows the name, please go ahead and post.

I can't freakin believe this...I just got my Bizarre DVDs in the mail! I ordered them off EBay so I could post clips here! Sigh...

Going through the DVD, it appears that they selected the "syndication" (censored) version of this scene for the DVD instead of the original Showtime uncensored version, as the original version should have been from his POV for the entire time she had her top up. I can't figure out how they screwed that up.

This scene, and a similar one (the actress starts to take off her top, heistates, then Byner goes through a process of repeatedly trading her blouse for a sweater) were ones that I had hoped would be on the DVDs. However, the producers chose to select the "best" complete episodes for the DVDs, instead of the best individual scenes. So from around 19 total half-hour episodes spread across two DVDs, I only found about 9 total scenes that I thought were worth excerpting. (But since LoftW beat me to the punch, I won't worry about it.)

As Rosenkav covered there were only a few scenes on the DVDs. I almost posted everything xcept a few small things....maybe Fonz can dig up his stuff

Here's a real brief clip of from an episode's introduction. The Bizarre intros from this era on Showtime usually included a quick clip from one of his various sketches that had a plot where a woman ended up topless or flashing.

This is from the bra advice skit...it was shot from a different angle. Didnt make the skit but was shown in
the credits of a different episode.

2nd one is a brief scene with a woman with a sheer top

3rd I messed up the editing on this one ....no sound and just a short part of the skit..

Here's one I have (actually thanks to Lotfw) that is a take-off on the old "Mean Joe Greene with Kid" TV commercial for Coca Cola some years ago, where mean Joe trades his Jersey for a coke from the kid. Pretty funny sketch, actually.

There will be some repeats from what's already in the thread, but it seems worth just doing them all. These are from going through the whole 10 DVD box set that exists, along with one other topless skit that made it out onto the internet at some point.

Note - "Mechanic (more tits).avi" is one of the very short clips they put in between sketches, and, as the title suggests, is extra shots of the woman from the Mechanic sketch topless.

Final post of sketches from the DVDs. "Hiccups cure" is the one I found on the net at some point, possibly on here, so apologies if that one's just a straight re-post.

"Restored" sketches.
 

Bizarre was broadcast in two versions, one with nudity and one without. The one without still had the same skits, it's just they used camera angles that didn't show any breasts.

The DVDs sadly weren't comprehensive, so there are still sketches out there where the only versions available are the 'censored' versions. However, as previously, the episodes do have short clips in between sketches that include breasts, and some of those clips are the missing boobs.

That means I've been able to 'restore' three sketches by editing in the missing topless clips to the appropriate place. It doesn't restore everything, but it's better than nothing and I suspect all that we'll ever get as I doubt there's enough interest in the show to support some sort of comprehensive remastering for 4k UHD. Though fingers crossed!

This show was the first consistent source of breasts that I could see on a screen, actually moving, when I was growing up. We could get our hands on the random Playboy or Penthouse, but a TV show that consistently showed real tits was a gift from the gods to the teenage me.
