Origin of ENF

1 Attachment(s)
I'm not sure where else to ask this. I've seen the ENF scene for well over a decade, but I have no idea where it started. Based on the very limited remaining early references, it seems like the term came to be some time in the early 2000s. Looks like there was a Yahoo group called E_N_F_ that was quite early. Did it start there? Maybe on Usenet before that?

Maybe someone here remembers the history of how the initialism was actually coined.

Since this is an image board, here is an image of the old embarrassednudefemale.com, retrieved from the Wayback Machine, which was around my introduction to the term (in the early 2010s).

Yes, roughly late 1990's early 2000's.
I know the term was used on the Hungry Mutt Forum, because I coined the term EUF on that forum, at around the same time.
It's my one, and only contribution to human culture.

I have been an enthusiast of ENF for decades but never knew it was a fetish and had a name until 2010. Would love to know the origin myself.

Acronyns (sp)

What is the origin of :

SOS (Save our Souls)

Mayday (the French M'aider)

SOS doesn't mean anything.
It was chosen because it's a repetitive pattern, that's easy to recognize in Morse code.
Mayday was chosen for a similar reason.
It was distinct, and could be clearly heard through the static of early radio sets.
It's supposed to be repeated three times.

Anything repeated 3 times is a signal of distress.

It was a reference to ENF on Yahoo that led me here....in 2004

Oh great, now I have to choose between;
Yep, yep, yep - Al Delvecchio
Or;
Oscar, Oscar, Oscar - Felix Unger
If I'm ever in a plane that's plummetting to the ground.

Wow, a great contribution to be sure! Actually it would be amazing if you could officially declare what the "U" stands for, because it seems to be something of a controversy! Even Wiktionary's definition is unsure between Underwear, Undressed, and Underclothed.

Underwear-clad.
I didn't really think it through.

I would have to say Hungry Mutt or Morphy I remember being around when ENF was coined.
80% sure it was HM.

Survey How old are you and where did you first hear of ENF

Get a point for each item !

1. Used a bulletin board pre AOL, Pre www (me very little on my commodore)
2. Used Aol , compuserve, prodigy (started searching for naked women immediately!)
3. downloaded from a USENET group alt.pictures.voyeurism :) (first 'real' internet experience)
4. Found Nanpa listing Japanese vids on Usenet
5. Uploaded an image to a usenet group the hard way :) (my first image was a woman getting her skirt blown up from a Nanpa vid)
6. Uploaded a video anywhere prior to 2000 (one of first was playboy mud wrestling hosted on my website, bandwidth gone!)
7. Visited 5i's Voyeur Board (desperate for any embarrassed nude females quickly learned not crazy about Voy stuff not like I imagined as a 1x2 year old)
8. Knew any of the CAM women from 5is (August? and 2 others I remember)
9. Had a personal picture website prior to 1998 (Called it TVrerun from very start, hosted on local ISP)
10. Remember swoppix (I barely remember this!)
11. Remember Egroups (Prior to Yahoo buying them)
12. Visited Byron's Stripping naked board (Prob where ENF was born quickly was overwhelmed with people like us and trolls)
13. Visited Hungry Mutts board
14. Remember when OCC open in 2004 (nerdvana)

wow this should be documented or pinned somewhere, no joke.

furthest back i went was LSS boards on yahoo and by the time I got there it was mostly archives. 2011 ish?

started on youtube, I was looking for the scary movie 2 euf scene. the only real "enf" type thing I encountered before the internet but clearly I was remembering it after I saw it in the movie, it was not right after.

back then there was a ton of enf and euf stuff on youtube.

Similar story to you, found the LSS yahoo groups in about 08/09. Wasnt in full archive mode then but it sure was dying down. Youtube stuff, and then found this place in 2010.
