Theatrical Version: Phoebe Cates' character, Linda Barrett, unfastens her red bikini top, fully exposing her breasts.

Network TV Version: An alternate shot was used where Cates unfastens her top but holds it against her chest to conceal her breasts.

Here is the original 640x360 resolution of the alternate take for the TV version. It is pretty blurry compared to the 4K version with nudity. So I also made 1280x640 upscaled version.

Continuity Error: This original 4:3 format clearly shows from the front view that Milne is wearing panties when her gown is removed. But the cut to the back view shows her bare ass and no panties. Later widescreen versions on DVD cropped out the panties so it seems like she was fully nude.

This crazy horror/martial arts film from Hong Kong was released in two versions: Cat II with no nudity and Cat III with lots of nudity. Here we compare the swimming pool scene at the start of the film. Actress Hei Man Chui (Shamen) is filmed in a tiny bikini for Cat II and fully nude for Cat III.

Resolution I have was not great on these. There is a 1080 DVD release out there of both versions I am trying to get a hold of. Comment if you have a better version.

Holy Virgin vs. The Evil Dead (1991) - Final Fight Scene
 

For the final fight scene, our heroes go to rescue the captured Hei Man Chui (Shamen). They find her under mind control and forced to take part in a native moon festival. Naturally, the festival features Shamen and 18 other native girls dropping their gowns for full frontal nudity.

In many shots, the non-nude Cat II version is identical (same angle, same framing) to the Cat III version except for a nude Shamen. I include screenshots of some of the best to compare.

In my video comparison, I trimmed some of the excess to keep the best shots and added a few freeze frames to keep timing synced.

I was hoping for some naked martial arts, but I should have figured that I might have already found all the best nude fight scenes out there.

This kinda reminds me of a TV show called "The Lost World" which was on network television. It was kind of like an grown-up version of The Land of the Lost. There was one episode where they encountered a giant bee hive, and for some reason the queen was in human form. When she first makes here appearance, she emerges from what I guess is a pool of honey completely nude. On TV there was a version where her hair covers her breasts. But there was a version where her hair was to the sides. I like to imagine like they shot it the first time with her hair covering, and then the director said "ok, let's do that again but have your tits showing." (it was probably the other way around, where they shot the exposed ones first and shot the second one for U.S. television).

On a side note, the actress was Simmone MacKinnon, who I think is known best to American audiences as a Baywatch Hawaii character. It was her only topless/nude scene ever.

I found the clips. I made a compare video and enhanced.

Some comments online say Simmone claimed the topless version is a fake. Some others comment that they remember seeing the original nude version on European TV.

TV shows back then would make a US version with no nudity and an international version with nudity to spice things up. Some were just editing jobs. Other had nude and clothed takes of the same shots.

HBO would do the same so they could sell non-nude version of shows to syndicated TV.

This is scene is from a film by the famous Shaw Brothers Studio of Hong Kong.

An evil sorcerer turns dead bodies into gorgeous sexpot zombies by driving a nail into their heads, all the better to seduce men into paying him top dollars for sexual encounters.

In this scene, the sorcerer brings one of his zombies home after a night of stripping at a club. He removes the nail from her head, but not before removing her clothes. I think her dead behind the eyes stare while being stripped is hot.

The beautiful Hazel Court (Janine) is topless during the Anton Diffring (Dr. Georges Bonnet) sculpting scene. Only her bare back is shown in the British and U.S. version, but her breasts are visible in the scene shot for European versions. Footage of the topless scene was considered lost for years. Finding the missing footage was one of the Holy Grails for fans of films with both domestic-censored and international-uncensored versions.

In her 2008 autobiography “Hazel Court - Horror Queen,” the actress included a small color photo of herself from the movie posing topless from the waist up. This image confirmed that an alternate uncensored version existed somewhere. Then in 2025, home video company Vinegar Syndrome released a Blu-Ray with the Court’s topless footage intact.

Here is a comparison with the just the highlights of court topless. I slowed it down to half speed.

Some other points of interest:

Court said she was paid an extra £2000 for the scene. It was one of the first nude scenes of its kind to be shot in England. They cleared the set and had just a skeleton crew. She said she agreed to do it because the scene warranted the nudity and it was shot beautifully. If it had been gratuitous, she would have refused.

The topless image that Court included in her autobiography shows her staring out mindlessly to the left. This image has been posted all over the internet since 2008. An upscaled version is posted here. But we can now see, this is not a still shot from the international version of the film. The image must have been taken from other footage of the scene left on the cutting room floor. That could mean the topless outtakes of Court may still exist somewhere.

I always assumed that the censored version would be just the same footage as the uncensored version but just tightly cropped on Court’s face. However, now comparing the two versions, I see that the shots of Court were filmed differently for each version. The mouth and eye movement are different in each for the corresponding dialogue. So, she was filmed twice: first in a wide shot of her topless and then with the camera zoomed in more on her face.

In this Italian film, Ivano (Fernado Rey) is a wheelchair-bound man who has an apartment filled with audio-visual equipment. This allows him to spy on tenant Arturo (John Phillip Law) and his various sexual conquests. He forces his wife Olga (Olga Bisera) to watch the action. Eventually, he convinces Olga to seduce Arturo.

The highlight attached here is when Arturo peels down the panties from blonde Olga revealing her full light-brown bush. Bisera was born in 1944, so she is about 33 at the time.

The scene with just the highlights and a slo-mo version is included.

This is another gothic horror film that includes brief nudity. This is from early in the 1960's when such scenes were still rare and scandalous even in Europe.

The original Italian version of this film features the beautiful, blonde Sylvia Sorrente (Elsi) in a topless scene that the version for the US did not. She plays a newlywed, who, along with her husband, meets her fate in the castle. This is not before a scene of her removing her dress and corset to reveal her breasts.

Sorrente is was born in 1941 which makes her about 23 at the time.

Here is the original Italian version dubbed in English. I cut out some shots of her husband lurking around the castle and just kept the good parts. There is also a quick shot of her bare breast with a nipple exposed when the monster is biting her. Later, when her husband runs in to save her, her corset is miraculously back on covering her breasts.

This is one of series of French films starring Michèle Mercier as heroine Angelique who is always getting in trouble and naked. Here we find Angelique captured by pirates and taken to the slave market to be sold. She is presented to the buyers in a purple bikini. Her top is then removed to display her charms. She covers herself quickly with her arms, so we don't see anything clearly, but I think it is quite sexy.

For years I could not tell if Mercier was topless or wearing pasties over her nipples for this scene. It was hard to tell with old low rez versions. The latest HD DVD release seems to confirm the pasties. I attached my edited version of the scene of just her being stripped. I also did a slow motion version and upscaled to show what appear to be pasties.

A topless Mercier with her her arms covering her breasts is the best part of the film. Stills of it were used in most of the advertising and publicity shots for the film as I have attached.

El Vampiro y el Sexo (1969)- Uncensored Black & White Version

For decades, there were rumors that an alternate version of director Rene Cardona’s classic Mexican wrestling film “Santo en el Tesoro de Dracula” was released in Europe. This rumored version was in color and included nudity.

In 2012, the fabled adult version entitled “El Vampiro y el Sexo” was found and exhibited.

This is a side-by-side comparison of the indoctrination scene of the two versions that features seven entranced slaves of Dracula undressing for their master.

The color version of the scene is longer than the black and white version. I pause the scene in a few places to keep hem synced.

Noelia Noel plays Santo's girlfriend Luisa who travels through time and is seduced by Dracula. The vampire uses his mind control to come to her bedroom at night and bite her neck. In the uncensored color version, she first pulls down the top of her nightgown revealing her breasts. She then feels herself up while Dracula performs some implied oral sex on her down below.

Gina Morett plays the maid Barbara (B&W) or Lupe (Color). She is also hypnotized and seduced by Dracula. In the uncensored color version, Dracula unbuttons her dress and exposes her breasts to grope.

As the film concludes, Dracula takes Luisa to his secret cave where she meets his slave girl court. In the black and white censored version, they are clothed. In the uncensored color version, they remove their black gowns and stand nude before her.

For years, I though this scene showed full frontal nudity. However, the new HD quality version of the film confirms that the woman are wearing flesh colored modesty covers over their pubic hair.
