Guys, I hate to complain, but I'm going to anyway
And what I'm going to complain about is the same old song most of us posters sing.
Why the hell don't people respond to let us know whether they like what we're doing or not? So far, I have posted 55 different times. (Usually every week). In that time, I have received 65 responses. That's an average of 1.18 responses per posting. (For those of you who can't figure that out, it's less than 2) In that same length of time, 55,403 people have viewed my pictures. That's an average of just over 1000 viewings per posting. Which means that less than 2 people in 1000 are bothering to let us know what you think. I can't say that my stats hold true for everybody who posts, because obviously some threads are going to be of wider interest than others, but surely that other 998 people could find a few minutes to post a few responses. It takes so much less time than it does for us to actually post the pictures/videos ourselves, and it makes such a difference in our day when we look and see that somebody actually cared that we did it. For those of you who have commented (to me and to others) I thank you all very much. But for those of you who haven't commented, please take the time to do so. Makes it more fun for us. Ok. Dun b*tchin. Back to lookin at the durty pikturs. |
Feel your pain
I feel the pain bro, it seems sometimes like were just sharing with a few. Those that dont post don't understand it may take us 30 min to post just a few hundred pics even at DSL speed, and we take that time to benifit so many that seem ablivious to our efforts. I guess it just goes with the territory.
Some will share.....MANY will LEACH and not even say a word......just a "THANKS" would be nice sometimes. :( You and me arent the only ones who have brought this up, but it seems the same every time that no one still will reply......not even to this. I belong to a few other forums and even in them the vultures out number the posters or replyers, it seems the most come from newbies who think it's cool to reply 1 or 2 times right after they join. What can you do??? |
To both Flashphoto and Smokin.... I will say Thank You! Since I have never had anything to contribute, I guess I feel guilty sometimes for just looking and not posting pics or videos. I guess I justify staying "unseen" as a way to avoid having someone say...hey...how come you never post anything? It's the feeling of being a "taker" and not a "giver", that keeps me silent. But I want everyone to know that I enjoy and more so "appreciate" all the work everyone does to entertain the rest of us who never seem to surface other than to have our views counted.
To all of you who post and make this site a fun place to "hang" out :) ..... thanks a bunch! Peterdragon |
Thanks Peterdragon. Actually, I think we all realize that not everybody has something they feel is original enough to post, but just the fact that they can say "thanks" goes a long way for substituting. Many thanks for your reply.
|
Well Smokin', as long as you enjoy mine and I enjoy yours, and we both say so, I guess we'll have to settle for that. By the way. The cat's name is Clawed.
|
Yes totally agree I've had over 23000 views of my thread "a little of my girl in action" and around 110 replies most of them being from the same bunch of guys. It would be nice if a few more of the lurkers had something to say.
|
Thanks everyone for posting on here. I'm not sure why I don't thank everyone all the time. I do appreciate all the posts and posters on here, as i'm sure that everyone does. If it wasn't the work of a few, all of us would suffer. I usually do make comments to the posts that I especially like but not always. Just the other day, I went back to the 'can you read panties' post and thought, omg...what great quality pics, but then got interrupted by a phone call and had to log off.
|
I think I"ve been gettin better at commenting on any thread I go into. :-) thanks to you both, and to all the rest (like eNergy, Norman, granddad and the like)
|
Thanks....
I've posted a few vids here and there when I've had the chance, but for the most part I've been just a lurker like most people who visit this site. I've always felt that if I didn't have something constructive to add to the group then I should just keep my mouth shut; but I guess a simple thank you here and there wouldn't hurt. Just to let you know, your efforts are not going unappreciated... I want to thank all those who take the time and effort to share their vids and pics with others on a daily basis; you are the driving force behind this forum. keep up the good work.

Thank yous are nice. I enjoy them when I get them. But I don't get bent out of shape if no one replies. Maybe what I posted sucked. Maybe 20 other people posted new threads and mine got buried. Maybe by the time someone downloaded what I posted and viewed it, they forgot from whence it came (happens to me all the time with the movies). Maybe I'm all jazzed up about something that no one else is (here's an example: https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/showthread.php?t=25542). Whatever! It's not like we should take any of this personally. Except for the very few who actually post pics they took themselves, the rest of us are scavengers. Why should I get upset if no one liked what I found enough to comment on it? If you're looking for some affirmation in your life, recite this mantra from Stuart Smalley: “I’m good enough. I’m smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me!” Don't look for it from a bunch of people looking at dirty pics and flics collected from the internet. Now if you wanna rant, rant about those people who have never started a thread, never uploaded anything, and do nothing but make requests. Those are the ones that piss me off.   :D |
I think we all agree on the "post nothing" requests.
|
I dont respond much because by the time i see something its already a week and a half old and i dont want to bump old threads.
|
Just a note
I know that some posters get upset when they see a lot of views on their post, but dont get many OR any replies, BUT views on the thread, do not mean that the full size picture OR the video, has been downloaded. Many people have different tastes, and am sure that if someone really thinks a post is hot, then they will reply.
If every member on the forum posted a reply to every clip or photo, then the forum would probably be in big trouble trying to keep up with moderating the newer posts. Just imagine making a post tonight, and then 400 members replying to a few posts that were made 2 days ago. Please don't get me wrong, i am not saying dont reply, i am just trying to point out something that could happen. best regards CP. |

Those that do, like yourself, are certainly justified in expecting more appreciation. Thanks, from me to you. |
I think that maybe for some like me, we try to post what little we can find or take ourselves, and other than that, I try to stay out of the way of what I call the "real" posters.
I make some comments when they are specific to the post or when I am flat out amazed at what you guys are able to find...but other times, if a post has replies and four stars, then I don't want to look like a zooperist and bump up threads with my opinion. This may sound stupid, but I think, "who gives a shit if I liked it or not? I hardly contribute". If I knew that comments like mine are wanted then I'll start posting some select ones. I just don't want to clutter the forums and start looking like a freedom, grandad, or energy nuthugger. ;) |
It seems there's always a fine line between some threads getting little response, to those that seem to go overboard. Once in awhile I'll come across an old thread that I thought was great, and yet no one let the contributor know. Contrarily, I'll see some threads with a short vid or a couple of pics, and there'll be a ton of replys. Usually one or two words: "thanks", "outstanding", "any more", "great", "cool, thanks", and on and on. It almost seems that people are most comfortable "hidden" within a group. It's the "Hell everyone else is replying to this thread, I might as well too" mentality.
As far a my own threads are concerned I obviously appreciate any comments but don't expect one from every person who may come across it. On the other hand I find it a little irratating when members try to coax comments out of members to get them to post more. I post because I choose to, and I want to share. I mean let's face it, no one here knows me personally, so who cares if a million people reply to my thread. What then? I get to walk around my house by myself with my chest out and my head held high, as I imagine to hear your heart warming, spine tingling applause? :p The bottom line I suppose, is to post because you want to, knowing it always feels better to give than to take; and if you come across a thread where no one has commented, take the initiative and let the poster know that at least one person has appreciated their effort. You never know, they may reward you at a later date with an even better post. |
Since you like statistics soo much.
It's a well known fact that only 5 % of unsatisfied customers ever complain and only 2% of satisfied customers ever compliment. This is a well known statistic in Advertising.
What this means is that each 2 people who posted actually represent 100 people. You are doing a great job keep posting. |
Speaking for myself
I don't know if I'm only speaking for myself saying this, but a lot of times when I log in here I see for example say, 8 marked threads in a section, and when I look at them there are maybe new pictures in three, if you're lucky.
I don't know, but if so is the fact, then I don't want to be the one getting peoples hopes up and let down as fast as the click the thread. Not saying that you don't deserve feedback though, just explaining why I donät give feedback a lot of times. I really enjoy your posts and look forward to seeing more =) Thanks |
Interesting Thread...lots Of View Points.
As a member who has started the odd thread or posted a few photos I read the comments here with interest.
I must admit,I love feedback. Iam a fedback junkie. If I find some great photos and i post them to an existing thread or start a thread and someone leaves a comment to say they like the photos well it makes it all worth while spending hours searching for new material and taking the time to post it. Guess I am insecure but I love it when I get praise,in fact Ilove all feedback positive or negative. But I agree you shouldn't just bump up old threads with feedback for the sake of it but sometimes it revives a good thread new members may have missed. Best idea is make a comment add an on topic photo, but for me two words do'thanks thenfreedom' right or wrong i love feedback and if thats seen as a failing.............. .........well I never said I was PERFECT....JUST HUMAN. GREAT THREAD,GOOD TOPIC,GOOD SUBJECT. THANKS EVERYONE |
Thx 4 pix

I used to hate it when some asshole posted 75 identical messages, "Thx 4 pix" or something equally lame. I like looking at the female form, so now that he's gone, I still hang out here a bit. Trolls who post a spate of one-liners should be shot! The simple fact that a thousand people look at your posts oughta tell you enough. You can also see how many people downloaded them; the simple act of downloading them is tantamount to a thank you! The best authors I know, the ones who get thousands and thousands of reads, may get a few dozen messages from their readers. I don't write as well as those who I consider amongst the best, so my ratio of reads to comments is not as high as the good writers get. I'm happy to get the reads, and I like the messages, but I don't obsess about not hearing from more of the readers of my stories. I've been hanging around here for about three years or so, I think. I've seen a lot of the photos, but surely not to the extent many of you guys have. I've probably posted a few dozen comments, very few of which have been simple "thanks for posting." You don't want hundreds of simply "thanks" messages. Please don't ask for what you won't want others get. The way I look at it, if one doesn't have something to ADD to the thread, either text or more photos, one shouldn't make the thread longer, and force hundreds or thousands of people to download and search threads, looking for the new stuff, only to find out it isn't new stuff, but just a one liner saying what everybody thinks. Simple thank you messages, which don't add value to the thread, should be SENT PRIVATELY, so the one who deserves the thank you will be the only one burdened by the thank you process. I apologize for posting what is probably the minority opinion, but I think I needed to voice it. Roxanne |

I was a lurker here for a full year before posting one lousy pic, but finally I decided to add to the forums and I was really exited when I got nice, humorous and constructive feedback right from the git go. and all of a sudden I get bumped up from junior member to member. I do feel a bit proud actually! And I don't feel guilty of lurking for a long time because I think that's fine too. And every once a while a wisecrack , thank you or slap on the wrist is mucho appreciated! SJ :) |
If you guys really want to know the truth ill tell you
|
I have to agree with past messages. The number of views speaks for itself. If people did not want to view your post, they would not. This is the place to talk. The other place is to look. You get a lot of people looking.
|
strange
To be honest,
It seems strange to me that this thread is mainly about replying to posts about attatchments, yet this thread has more replies in the length of time its been running, than most other threads. CP. |
sharing ....
.... isn't it all about sharing ?
People who like erotica sometimes are the nicest people. We are also the shyest. The very nature of looking at erotica on line precludes cheering. This is just me but .... I find it tasteless those who insult the body. Yes , some are fat . yes some are not your choice.... yes some may be revolting to you personally. ..... the secret is to just let it go . It never ceases to amaze me when I see a comment like ..."nice boobies ... shame about the tummy " etc. Since I'm rambling .... I can't think I've ever been more embarrassed on-line then when I came back one day and found my posting had been deleted as "pro".... to the mods ... I was shell shocked .... two ways .... yes it was probably pro at some point ... but I re-edited it to be normal . all to say I am afraid now to upload anything !!! with appreciation, GeorgeSmiley |
There are some people in this thread saying they'd like feedback, and others saying that they find two-word replies annoying. I think that both are right: The group that wants feedback want comments specific to their post, and won't get any satisfaction from a reply that could have been about any thread. The group that doesn't want the board clogged up don't mind replies where someone has taken the time to make a substantial comment.
|
Considering I have very few posts I guess I dont provide much feedback ^^'
The reason why I dont go and say I love everything I do love, is because I would be bumping 90% of the posts in this place! lol I tend to keep as a rule not to reply to anything with a simple "I like it" unless its very near the top of the page. This way I can keep the bumping of stuff to a minium. |
Random comments
Yeah I agree about the cooments about people that look around and dont realy post or comment cause mainly I do that myself and feel bad about it but I really dont have anything to contribute exept for a few Enf mvie clips I sugested checking out but noone responded to them so I kinda figured why bother but all I can say is thank you to the people that do post it is much appreciated and awsome work

my 2 Cents
FlashPhoto
This board seems to guided by the principal - "If ya got nothing nice to say then keep your mouth shut" I certainly don't want to discourage any posters, but instead of complaining about feedback, you might want to look at your submissions in comparison to those that get lots of positive feedback. As I recall both here and on voyeurweb you post nude in public type pictures of older women. Have you seen any similar type posts getting more positive feedback. I would hazard to guess that the subject matter you tend to post has a very limited audience. I don't want to be mean about it, but since you asked, I guess that most people are being nice and not telling you how much they dislike your posts. |
Thank you button!!
Hi there.
If this idea has come up earlier, i apologize, but i didn't read the whole thread. I'd just add an "thank you button" which many other forums have. This way the thread opener can see how many people appreciate his post and the lazy guys and girls who don't want to write just have to click on this button. This way the simple "thanks a lot" messages (which i use sometimes just to encourage the thread opener) would decrease, too. franzibert |
I used to post photographs frequently but have stopped doing so recently due to lack of comments. I think many other regular contributors feel the same.
From now on I am a watcher only, I've done my Tour of Duty. :p :D I am happy though to still contribute links in the Free sites section. |

Another thing you have to remember. There is still a certain stigma and shame associated with porn sites in our society, so many, many people don't want to make themselves known because they know there is no true anonymity on the Web. I was like that myself once, but then I just started not giving a damn. Many people can't and won't do this, and frankly, I don't fault them for it. And one last thing to keep in mind. If absolutely everybody who liked your pics said "thanks", this place would be a madhouse. I mean, look at the Sexy and Funny forums. That place is crazy, because they've got hundreds of people thanking here and thanking there and it's chaos. It's like the trading floor at a stock market. It'll give you a headache. It's still a good forum (not as good as OCC, IMHO), but it's hectic. I compare OCC, on the other hand, to a laid back small town, where it's much less chaotic, much quieter, and more "relaxing". This has its virtues, believe me. Anyway, I encourage you to keep posting your collection. I know you have a great one and it would be a shame, I think, to keep it all to yourself. Fango |
Site Limitations
With most posts I've made, there haven't been any comments. But the few comments I have gotten have been intelligent and useful, letting me know what I was doing right or wrong so I could work on making my posts better in the future.
Some members think that a larger percentage of viewers should show their appreciation with comments. Other members view pure comment posts (no images) as clutter. Both views seem valid, and under a different system it would be possible to accommodate everyone. People making especially important comments that they felt should be included in the main thread could continue to make their comments there (this would keep the ratio of image posts to comment posts to a reasonable level). People that just want to express appreciation (or disdain) for a particular post could comment to a separate replies area that was tied to that post only (each post could have a "Comments" link, and just adding to the Comments of a post wouldn't bump the thread to the top of the forum). Also, it could be possible to have custom settings on the forums so individual users could specify that only new posts containing images should be marked as new. The current limitations of the site prevent this solution, but ultimately that's the best way to resolve this issue. In the absence of programming changes to how the forums work, my opinion is that in most cases the members here do a decent job of balancing the competing values of useful feedback vs. feedback clutter. Sure, there are some posts of which I'm particularly proud that got no response at all, but getting a few nice comments on other posts makes up for it. |
Rolls eyes. If your looking for ego glory then your not going to find it here. Yes some people will say thank you or nice contribution. But you shouldn't expect this just because you chose to make a contribution. It's nice to be appreciated. The fact remains that most people here are looking for good smut. Not everyone has the time or wants to take the time to thank everyone who makes this such a good site. Get over it - move on - deal with it. Or you could continue to have an attitude about it - pout and move to another site. All because the world won't stroke your ego. I'm sure almost everyone here appreciates those that contribute often. Just don't expect someone to get on their knees and start giving you head because your doing it.

I think this has been a great thread.
I personally would like to thank every member of the forum who has started or posted
to the forum, no matter how big or small their contribution. I would like to Thank every member who has left a comment. I Thank every member who has viewed and enjoyed the forum (lurkers are as important as posters or why post at all if no one is going to see it? But most of all I would like to thank Alex and his OCC team and all the modorators. Because without them, their time, money and dedication their would be no forum for us to post, comment or view. So lets be thankfull we have this great forum to be members of and enjoy, whatever part we have played in its creation and continuation. Owners,Moderators,Contributors, commentors and viewers we all have our part to play and the forum is bigger than anyone of us. So THANKS everyone at OCC. Thenfreedom. |

While I don't mind if people don't say, "Thank You", I wouldn't mind some guidance occasionally about what people like or don't like. And I don't even mind reasonable requests, except as you point out in your last statement. |
Some of the celebrity photo forums won't even let you see the photographs when you register. You have to make one or two photo posts in order to gain full access to the content of the site. This might be a good idea here at OCC and would encourage those who have been members for months or even years but still have 0 posts to get off their backsides and start contributing.
There is an old saying that the richest 2% of the world's population own half the world's wealth. Here at OCC it is a similar story although on not quite the same scale - maybe 10% of the senior members post 50% of all the good content on the forum. Some of our most valuable contributors should be rewarded for the time and effort they put in. Remember - without them there wouldn't be any pics to see!!! Best regards. |
