Naked at the beach, resort, or sauna?
I was looking at the threads, and it seems that the one about the saunas seems to be the most popular. Which surprises me a little. Is it really the best venue for nudity?
My wife and I have done all three. The experiences were very different. The nude beach. I've really enjoyed my nude beach experiences. It's the variety of people (young/old, different races, shy newbies and experienced nudists) and their different approaches to nudity (topless, bottomless, openly naked), watching people undress, couples frolicking, etc... It's a great people-watching experience. My wife didn't like it so much. Mostly due to the voyeurs trying to get a good look at her pussy. So now on the rare occasions we go, she just goes topless, which defeats the purpose. The sauna. Granted, the one we go to is NOT coed. So the time we spend naked is apart; her surrounded by a bunch of women, and me by a bunch of cocks. She likes it more than I do; as a matter of fact she has requested we go back next weekend. But for me it's "meh." The nudist resort. It certainly doesn't have the same variety of people as the nude beach or sauna. People tend to already be naked when they enter the pool area, and I do miss watching people undress. So it's not quite the people-watching experience that can be found elsewhere. But my wife likes the fact it's behind closed gates, and not "just anyone" can walk in. The people there are mostly regulars (like us) or members; and since they've seen her naked several times, she's not as "pussy-shy" around them, as she figures they've all probably seen it anyway (which they certainly have). Because it's a social environment, there's a lot more interaction with other naked people, which can be a lot of fun. In short, as a single guy I preferred the nude beach. As a married guy, I have to go with the resort because that's where my wife can be most uninhibited. So...what's your favorite venue, and why? |
I've chosen for 'other' because all depends on the location and company you're in.
Sauna: usually local and coed in our case. Chances are you encounter someone you know which can be fun ... or not 😉. But it's often the most relaxing and fun to do with friends/family. Not always ideal for children cause people want to enjoy in silence. Nude beach: also fun, but a bit of a drive. Less facilities, but a place for young and old, families or singles. Sometimes bit of hinder caused by voyeurs, but one learns to ignore them. Only issue nowadays are cellphones and pics taken. Not an issue for me personally, but wife is rather not seen naked online recognisable. Resorts: can be fun, facilities available, but sometimes it are the people that annoy me. It's the place for the "real nudists/naturists" and their opinion on how to behave and think as a "real one". |
European Saunas
Been to nude beaches but not a resort. Have been to a ton of European saunas though. Loved the saunas and always liked seeing women get undressed. I used to go to one in Bad Homburg where the saunas were upstairs from the pool. Always got a kick when I saw women come upstairs from the pool and strip out of their bathing suits. Other times I could sit at the bar and occasionally topless or naked women would sit there ordering drinks and/or food.

Sounds like a few good stories in there that I would love to here! |

We've met some far away acquaintances and a few colleagues of my wife (all female). But there are other people my wife would not like to meet there like male colleagues (of whom she is their boss), her step brother or some creepy friends/neighbours of who we know also go there from time to time. |

Been to nude beaches in Martha's Vineyard, and Gunnison Beach at Sandy Hook. Martha's is beautiful or was the last few times we were there, but it was years ago. Gunnison not so nice because of the debris we encountered walking the water line.
Now, my wife and I only go to resorts. One gets a different vibe when staying at the resort for several days. Cypress Cove is the best but Sunny Rest is also very nice! |
My first thought was the sauna. It's guaranteed nudity and it's close up.
But I've gone for the nude beach. It can be random who you see and how close, but it's also much more relaxed. People tend to be more comfortable having everything on display, often playing in the waves and 'frolicking' in a way you wouldn't see in a sauna environment, where there are more rules. No experience of nudist resort. |

Spending the day naked until late, going to bed, waking up naked and spending the next day naked, etc... will definitely put you in a "naked state of consciousness." The first time my wife did it, she was modest on Day 1. By Day 3 she was tanning with her legs open and didn't even care about being seen completely exposed. She'd spent so much time naked that she'd lost her inhibitions along the way. |
Nude resort best

The resort is wonderful for after a few days my wife doesn’t have a care in the world and enjoys the new couples that show up every day. We had some of the wildest times at a resort. Nothing better to sit next to another couple with lounge chairs just a couple of feet away completely nude conversing. I remember standing at the bar having a drink and a mature women next to me drinking and talking. She had a beautiful pair of natural D cup tits a little saggy just a foot away from me. I could not stop looking at her tits and imagining. I apologized for staring, she said that’s ok it makes me feel better being around all the young girls. I told her good because your tits are beautiful, she said my husband likes when I get complements. Women love it when they get looked at for an extended period and I think it is such a turn on for me. |

Saw her interact with some guys who may have been newbies like us. Two guys she had talked to got erections. That was exciting to see for her and for me also. I’ve heard good things about Martha’s Vineyard. That’s got to be a vacation trip since we can’t do as a day trip like Sandy Hook is. |

My wife and I have also done all three, here in the UK, on holiday in Spain and in Germany.
Nude Beaches. My wife an I have spent many days on naturist beaches here in the UK (our favourite being Holkham in Norfolk). Personally we prefer beaches where either everyone, or at least the majority, are nude. We are quite happy to find a spot we like and settle down for the day. Weirdly, on the beaches we have frequented my experience is that I'm more likely to look at other women on the Bech that are either only topless, or wearing a bikini, rather than those that are naked. The sauna. We have visited sauna's in Germany, where we found many of the hotel sauna's are clothes optional and Co-ed. As with the beaches we are both happy to be naked in sauna's and prefer it to having to wear a swimsuit. We have also visited co-ed Hammam in Turkey, which was a very interesting experience, with a male masseur attending to my wife, and a female masseuse attending to me (full body wash and full body massage) The nudist resort. We holidayed in one of the naturist apartment complexes in Vera Playa, and within tin the complex we were able to go to and from the swimming pools etc. naked - however when we left to complex to go to the beach we were advised to wear a costume until we were on the sand at the beach. It was amazing being able to go to the beach bars and cafe's naked, with the only stipulation being that you brought a towel to sit on. |
Nude Beach though Sauna is a dream
Being from down under here, sauna fun really isnt a thing.
Main place is nude beach. Though we definitely want to try some of these saunas are next year when we head over. |
I have passed by nude beaches but never really partook in them.
Never been to a nude resort, but maybe one day. Only thing was having a massage with my gf at an out of town spa, but we were both covered up with towels on the massage bed so doesn't really count, although outside the spa rooms, there was a little garden and everyone was in robes (probably unclothed underneath). When I was single, went to a co-ed nude bath house, but did not go during peak hours. It was Friday afternoons when most people were still working. It was nice to just soak and relax, and later get a massage later, but this place was pricey so I only went a few times. Going alone was kind of boring as I would see couples or friends get to talk quietly and share the experience together. 3 hours soaking can seem like an eternity. |
All of the above
All are different and wonderful. I'll elaborate later when I find some time.

We go to nude beaches and nudist resorts.
Since more than 40 years my wife and I go to nude beaches in France and the Netherlands. End of the 90's we started to go to Cap d'Agde in the south of France, where we stay in the Village Naturiste. We went to Cap almost every year until 2019. Then there was Covid. Last summer, we went back for the first time. In June. Maybe we go back in September.

I've had conversations with naked people standing 3 feet away from me. Or sitting on the top ledge of the hot-tub legs open. It's a bit less fun when it's a penis dangling in front of me; but you've got to take the good with the bad lol! Once the people there get to know you, they tend to be more relaxed about the view they're getting and receiving. Even my self-described "modest" wife has had close-up interactions where she was comfortable (or oblivious) to her exposure in front of the other person(s). It tends to just naturally happen when you're relaxed and immersed in conversation with other people. |
Live part time in a nude resort. Actually prefer nude beach. The cost of living in a nude resort which is open year round is about the same cost as a week+ at a nude beach. Have made a lot of friends in the resort, which are literally framily.
