Funny Sci Fi comic book cover. Is it real? Doubtful. A cover like that wouldn't have been allowed when comics sold for 10 cents.

A quick search for "Astronudes" indicates that it is real, but recent. Probably made like a 50's comic as a stylistic choice hence the "not approved by comic authority" logo in the corner. Comic Authority was the Hayes code for comic books it seems.

They are taking preorders on their site. I don't know if it's ok to post links here but it is one of the first results in a Google search.

I know next to nothing about comic books so I can't tell if that Zoop site is legitimate.

It looks like a one joke wonder. A funny idea for a few panels, but the joke wears thin after that.

I love the one with Joan Crawford glaring at the robot at the bottom left. I think it was planned as part of a musical sequence for the movie Dancing Lady. I don't know if the scene was shot and deleted later, or if they just shot some promotional photos for fan magazines like Film Fun, but it would have been interesting to see how it played out.

There's a similar scene in the 1950's movie Sex Kittens go to College (good lord, that title) where there's a fantasy scene about three women doing a striptease for a robot. I think I have a clip of it somewhere, might take me a while to find it.

A couple of ENF-ish Sci Fi/horror covers.

Apparently somebody has the entire movie of Sex Kittens go to College on YouTube. I watched part of it again, and I have a few corrections and takeaways -

• It's actually four women stripping for the robot (I forgot about the cleaning lady at the beginning.)

• It is a fantasy scene, but it's the robot's fantasy.

• There is also a chimpanzee in the scene.

• And a little person that takes the second lady's gown.

• FFS, Conway Twitty is in this movie.

• Also Martin Milner from Adam-12, Jackie "Uncle Fester" Coogan and Vampira from Plan 9 from Outer Space.

• This is serious competition to Maboroshi Panty vs. Henchin Pokoider for the most crazy-ass exploitation movie of all time.

Sex Kittens go to College 1960 aka Sexpot goes to College, The Beauty and the Robot, Teacher versus Sexpot, Teacher was a Sexpot.
Standard US version 94 minutes, Extended International Version (with topless nudity) 103 minutes

Thinko, the Collins College science dept robot, choses Dr Mathilda West (Mamie van Doren) as new head of science. She is a sexpot (disruptively attractive) and a genius (has 13 degrees and speaks 18 languages) but was once a stripper. Thinko is having a nervous breakdown. At 83m in the extended international version, 9 minutes of extra footage is inserted where he hallucinates/dreams of 4 uncredited women stripping for him to topless and nearly bottomless. Startlingly explicit for its time in US.

My edit which is better quality than YT, has the opening title and the 4 strippers without the intercuts to the robot, the chimp and the dwarf.
