Have you been snooped on?
 

There are threads about snooping, but I'd love to hear the times you know or suspect someone has snooped on you or your partner. Did it bother you, turn you on, or make you mad?

One that stands out for me is my niece. Most days, I love her, but she drives me crazy most of the time. She is in her early 20s now and still irritates me to death!!! This happened when I was with my ex, and we had dinner/going out plans with my brother and SIL.

My niece tagged along, which was unusual. She had her driver's license at that time, and she was not going with us, so there was no reason for her to come along. She hung out at my house and watched TV while we were gone, which I thought was dumb but not worth fighting about. Everything seemed normal when we got back, and I didn't think much about it. Fast forward about a week later, and my ex accused me of cheating, which I had not. Our relationship was on a downward slide at that point anyway, and my ex was livid. I asked why she thought I was cheating, and her primary response was that I thought she was stupid.

I finally was able to get her to tell me what she thought happened, and it was missing condoms. Like old missing condoms from my nightstand that should have been pitched. I had no idea how many condoms were supposed to be there, but apparently, my ex knew the exact count. We had a stand-off for what seemed like 30 minutes before it dawned on me, and I said, "fucking (niece's name)." My ex screeched at me for a few more minutes and then picked up the phone and called my SIL. I can only imagine what happened on the other end, but my niece confessed to taking them. I shouted, "don't use those old things," before she hung up, LOL.

I have no idea what else she found and looked at, but knowing her, she probably spent the entire time snooping.

A more recent suspected snooper is my MIL. My MIL wanted to retrieve some clothes from my wife and came over to get them from our room. When I got home after work and went to change, I noticed our bathroom counter lined up with our toys from the night before that I had laid out to dry after cleaning. A butt plug, cock ring, and nipple suckers all lined up neatly on the counter. I don't recall lining them up like that, and I was the one who cleaned them. I've never mentioned it to her or my wife. My wife would laugh about it, though.

My being snooped on ruined my life story.
So I have had a few ex's over the years. I married my high school sweetheart. We started together when she was 14 we broke up .... married at her23 me 26.
Finally we divorced a couple of years later, because she cheated on me, but we still talk and are friendly today but had a few rough years.

A few years later I started seeing this real young mom she was 11 years younger than me. One who was pregnant during her high school.
We dated, she moved in wouldn't do anything with her life left her daughter at her mom's (which drove me crazy because I had a daughter the same age and I wanted more time than I got and she was avoiding hers wanting to be "single") anyway after several tries I broke up with her, but she was a boomerang.
She finally went to her mom's and I started dating a girl on the very down low. Double Super secret dating her mom was the only person to know.
Well one day I was a work and my landlord let the boomerang in my place to get something she forgot.
She started snooping on my computer looking at my secret stash of pictures of my past loves or whatever.
And found the ones of my new girl. Well she knew her and found one I had put next to a my picture of my ex wife.
So this is 7 years after my divorce was finalized.
Well she called my ex wife and told her who my new girl was in order to light up my life. And apparently took a phone picture of the screen and sent it to her because my wife didn't believe her and figured she was just stirring the pot.

Unfortunately my ex wife saw the pictures and had a meltdown because the girl I was seeing was her younger sister. And the naked comparison picture was devastating to my ex wife.

She didn't talk to her sister for about 6 months and me 1 year, her the ex MIL actually tried to smooth everything out and encouraged the younger that it was ok and she should be happy because that brief time was the happiest she had been, per her mom.

I talked 1 time to the other girl and moved out of that apartment, I periodically talk to the ex sister in law at events. Talk to the ex wife about weekly now.

So I F up and because I didn't hide the pictures better, hid what was going on and a snoop it ruined a what was great moment.

I have been snooped on three times that I recall.

First time, summer between years at college, I was taking a shower and I could see my sister's shadow outside the bathroom door. I think she was looking through a teeny tiny gap between the door and the moulding. I will admit that it got me mostly hard (weird, I know, but I was pretending that it was her friend, ha!), and I am pretty sure she saw because she was completely silent the entire rest of that day.

Second time, my the-gf's roommate would always try to see me. One night, my then-gf and I were sleeping in her bed, and I was sleeping naked, and her roommate was staring at me before climbing up to her top bunk. I made sure to turn a bit so that I my bare hip was exposed. I tried to expose more for her, but I couldn't without making it look obvious. I was doing the thing where you peek back through your eyelids closed as much as possible, plus it was dark. I saw her tugging on her nipples through her pj top. I regret not just pulling the covers off myself, but that was nearly 30 years ago now.

Third time, also in college, my same then-gf told a theatre friend about how huge I am below my belt, so three very obnoxious theatre guys would hang out near my dorm while my then-gf was over and try to watch me use the bathroom stalls and such. It was pretty awful. These days, they would have gotten into serious trouble for the harassments that resulted from them towards me, but back then "sa can't happen to guys." Very different times. No, I was not flattered by them in the least. My then-gf thought it was hysterical--just a precursor to her abuse!

Do you think she was trying to find her own pictures on your computer (assuming you took some)? She sounds like she was on a mission vs. the right time and right opportunity.

Oh Yeah-

One of my girlfriends and I used to be snooped on all of the time by her sister and her mom. My girlfriend and I used to lock her bedroom door and have really great sex. It was an old house with skeleton key locks. My girlfriend's mom and my Gf's older sister would watch us all of the time through that keyhole. Yes, together. lol When we put tissues in the lock hole, they would just poke it out with a safety pin. Probably about 25 years ago, a friend of ours would occasionally act as childminder for our youngest (5 at the time). Her own daughter was a similar age to our eldest (then 14 - 15) so Maggie was our sort of age - maybe a little older - late 30's I'd imagine.

My other half said on a couple of occasions that things seemed to have been moved while we were out or in some way disturbed. It happened quite a few times. We had a very active sex life at the time which involved quite a few 'extras' in terms of porn, clothing, toys etc and while we didn't leave things out on show, our bedroom was 'ours' so we didn't lock anything away either but this all took place in areas or rooms where she had no cause to be.

The first thing was to be certain - so I kind of childishly 'booby-trapped' some cupboards and drawers in ways which would make it clear to us later if they'd been opened in out absence.

My boss at the time had worked with Maggie in a previous employment where (he told me) she was 'affectionately' known as 'No-knickers Mags'!!

The second stage involved me leaving Post-it notes in places where we thought she'd look - as well as the previous 'indicators' inviting her to talk to us and/or ask questions if she was curious or interested in anything particular.

She never did but again, they were all opened and therefore we assumed read too.

That is awesome... most snoopers, I think, would freak out if they came across a note. At least, I think they would stop snooping.

I don't really mind snooping, except for my niece almost getting me Bobbitted! I assume anyone left at our house will look around, and if there is something I really don't want them to see, it is on me to take some extra steps.

I'm generally pretty good at resisting the urge to look too much when I'm at someone's place. I don't go digging around, but I'm guilty if something is out and fairly obvious.

This is a very real thing when parents want grandkids very badly!

I can't tell you how many times my wife and I had sex and her mom knew. Her mom wanted grandkids so badly that my wife and I even had sex in a hotel room while we were sharing the room with her mom, and her mom was in the room while my wife and I had sex! (I am sure I posed about this year ago.)

(We couldn't get away with it now, but we were young, and grandbaby fever in her mother was very real. She asked about our sex life a lot during that pre-kid stage. We took lots of vacations together, and when we went off to have sex, her mom would put her hands together and get so giddy! It seems insane now, but it made sense at the time for all of us.)

So the story I got from the snooper was:

She said that when I cut off paying for her cellphone that she couldn't get to her photos anymore (she physically destroyed the device in anger) and she wanted all the pictures of her kid that she knew were backed up in my cloud account. She said she needed right away and didn't figure I would mind because it was for her kid.

As a note on access the landlord's mother and her mom were best friends and had set us up. And since we had broken up a few times in the past and we got back together they figured thats what this was.

I suspect she figured she would get dropped off at my place, (she didn't have a car at the time and was using one of mine until I broke it off with her.) and she would be there naked and ready for fun when I got home and then I would take her back. Like I did in the past.

As far as my personal stash of pictures, She knew I had pictures of her & my ex wife, as she saw the ex wife ones previously and went and created better content for me in an attempt to out do what the ex wife did, She succeeded. I do wish I had them still.

I think it was mostly opportunity, there was a real need for some of her kids pictures, that could have waited until I got home, I truly think she was just trying anything to get back in my life and the good thing she had.

I figure she didn't think I had really moved on especially since I really didn't go out and was working all the time.
Which is true if it hadn't been my ex wife's sister that I started seeing, I wouldn't have had the time to go out looking.
Infact all of my relationships except 1 were set ups because I am not all that out going and work all the time.

One thing I have noticed is that many women (even those you would have thought are super modest) are actually willing to exhibit themselves if 2 conditions are met.

1. She knows she is physically safe

2. She can still remain a "good girl".

I think both of these conditions were met with your wife. It seems she was comfortable and felt safe with the couple even the husband. In addition, no one could blame her for wanting to keep a close eye on her baby, even if it meant the curtain would be partially open while she was changing.

When I was in grad school, we lived in an area that had primarily duplexes. Our neighbor to the south only had a 5' wooden fence separating his property from ours. My wife would sunbathe in the relatively private backyard area on a chaise lounge while topless and wearing only minimal string bikini bottoms. Then I spotted my neighbor outside in his yard looking at me. i walked over and said, "Hey, Walt, have you had any problem with Peeping Tom's at your place?" He replied that he had not. I told him that I heard someone outside our kitchen window during the night, and I pointed out the muddy shoe imprint under the window. I looked over at Walt's shoes, which had a cake of mud on one of his shoes. I continued by saying that I bet the Peeping Tom has mud on his shoes similar to Walt's shoe. Walt looked very guilty but mumbled something about his muddy flower bed work. I just said, "Uh-huh." I will say that we never had any more evidence of a snoop after that.

Probably 20 years ago now, but it still seems fresh when I think of it.
