Can someone explain the (erotic/porno) deal with Inter-Racial (IR) sex?
(there is even a preset posting category prefix on this site called Non Fiction Stories - Interracial).

I think this is primarily a US thing involving a white woman having sex with a black (ie african-descent) man. There are a number of threads here and in (US) porn generally where this is a kink/taboo/bonus/perversion or perhaps a degradation (of the white woman). The legacy of slavery, segregation and apartheid-style laws in many US states banning miscegnation is part of the founding "Original Sin" of the US which still reveberates today in voter suppression, penal policy, law enforcement, poverty and other ugly aspects of current US politics. Is IR as porn part of this? Is IR more of a thing in the Deep South and among Republicans?

I don't think IR is as big a thing in European porn - most European colonizers abolished slavery before the US did.

But what is the erotic/porno thing about black men with white women? If it was simply racial mixing or skin colour contrast or novelty then I would expect a similar number of black women and white men - but that isn't so.

Is it simply stereotypic penis size? - but there are plenty of porn films involving white men with big dicks.

Some of the threads here with titles like "Husband sharing his wife with a black guy" seem to assume that all white wives are married to white husbands and that no white women are married to black men.

To me this "kink" of IR porn has racist undertones (because of history, not necessarily because its connoisseur are racist) which I personally don't find any more erotic than any man and woman having sex. But obviously others do and I ask them to explain their appreciation of this "kink".

It might be more of an American thing, I’m not sure, but it think there may also be differences based on age. Many years ago interracial relationships were more rare and taboo and not mainstream. That’s changed a lot, so for Millennials and Gen Z interracial sex probably doesn’t seem like as big a deal as it does to Boomers and Gen X.

Gen X from the American midwest, almost south. It doesn't do anything one way or another for me. But, just from being raised with the constant low grade background noise of racism, the first time I saw the genre it did cause a little dissonance. A bit of 'hey, that's not right,' followed immediately by, 'whoa, where the hell did that thought come from?'

I noticed the unconscious reaction immediately and it bothered me (because no one believes they're racist themselves!) so I did some soul searching. No one ever flat out told me white women shouldn't be with black men. I vaguely remember my grandmother (b1900) tut-tutting "ohh, would you look at that!" when seeing a 'mixed' couple in public. I discovered I'd somehow internalized a disgust reaction- that there was something wrong with white women who dated black men, and vice versa the men were going above their station. Discovering I had that unconscious reaction pissed me off, and I think once I took the feeling out and looked at it, I was able to exorcise it by watching for it because there was no rational basis for it.

And now 28(!) years into looking at porn on the internet I could take it or leave it, depends on the scene & the actors. But I think I can see how someone who had stronger feelings along those lines could fetishize it as degrading to either the actress or the viewer.

One of the kinks of interracial porn does stem from the fact that at one time in parts of the Southern United States, a black man having sex with a white woman could result in him getting lynched and as a result, porn has taken that very horrible historical fact and twisted it into a kink.
