Nudity with windmills or watermills
I'm not expecting this to be a popular thread, but it's an experiment in pulling together all photos that happen to combine two subjects - nudity, and windmills or watermills.
Many of the items may have appeared already in another thread, but that's not a problem here. However, I don't want it just to be a collection of photos - I want as much context about each photo to be given as well, identifying where it was taken if at all possible, so most posts will have but a single image along with the context text. I'm prepared to be flexible in the definition of a windmill - whilst ideally it would be the romantic wooden structures of past centuries, I'll allow metal windpumps and wind turbines to also make an appearance! |

Starting with a vintage view, this is a French studio photo. The painted backdrop shows a French windmill, though it's hard to know if this was a true to life scene, or just one the artist painting the backdrop created in his imagination.

A series of photos here, from a photoshoot at the museum of Wooden Architecture in Suzdal, Russia.
The museum has a couple of windmills on the site, but only one gets to be seen in these photos. |
High Lonesome Ranch
1 Attachment(s)
Whilst it's clear that this windpump is at High Lonesome Ranch, there are plenty of places with that name, and I've not been able to narrow down which one this is.
|

Clearly not a working windpump - just a garden ornament, with no real clues as to its location.
|
1 Attachment(s)
Looks to be a real workable wind pump, presumably used to irrigate the market garden our subjects are working on.

Lytham Hockey Club

One shot from the Lytham Hockey Club naked calendar for 2016, where the photoshoot took place in the early morning of 17th Oct 2015. The calendar included the colour shot - the black and white christmas card was an extra.

Positively Glittered

This was the 2017 (4th) Positively Gilttered event, shot in early November in the Queensland outback by Jill Kerswill, to celebrate body confidence.
A magnificent wind pump features in a number of the shots. |

OK, so this is only a linocut, but it fits the thread subject!

Wind turbine

The photographer here is Sofi Mdivnishvili, from Tbilisi (Georgia), so although the photos carry no location, I would assume they are taken in Georgia.
Shows a 3 bladed wind turbine. |
Pitstone
1 Attachment(s)
This is not actually a nude photo - just the top is barely visible.
This is Pitstone windmill, in Buckinghamshire, taken in 2010. |
Bronkhorst, The Netherlands
1 Attachment(s)
This is a still from a video, well worth checking out, of a woman body painted and wearing clogs, dancing in the field by the windmill of Bronkhorst, in The Netherlands.
The model has a windmill painted on her back. The real windmill can be seen turning in the video. 28th May 2016. |
Wind turbine
1 Attachment(s)
A photo of a naked woman in a field of wheat in front of a windfarm. It's available via a stock agency, but totally without context. The same photographer regularly shoots the same windfarm with different models, including a cowboy themed one, and I've seen American flags in other photos, so likely taken in the USA.
Two three-bladed wind turbines are shown. From other photos in the series, it's clear there are many more turbines in the windfarm. |
Lavian windmill

This is the windmill in Araisi, Latvia. It has been painted white in the past few years, so this shoot predates that. The open sided shed covers a portable threshing machine.

Another photo shoot at the Araisi windmill, Latvia - must be a busy place!

Roskilde festival

The naked running race that takes place at the Danish Roskilde festival each year often has views of the on site wind turbine.
The Vestas turbine, is described in the 2017 document "Application of medium sized wind turbines in Roskilde Municipality" thus: Quote:

Unspecified turbine
1 Attachment(s)
This came from a blog post about the possible future erection of wind turbines in Ikaria, Greece. It's not clear if this image was of an existing turbine on the island, or simply chosen because it showed any turbine.

I think I've seen other pictures of this mill, with a larger group of people (possibly one with a guitar) strolling along the path.
I've never seen an identification of the mill, but would say it's German or Scandanavian. |

A woman stepping out with a row of wind turbines in the field. The photographer is Dutch, so possibly the Netherlands.

UK watermill
7 Attachment(s)
Quite a selection of photos, but no clue where in the UK this is. Just described as "derelict watermill". The photos are from decades ago - the model is now much older than in the photos.

UK watermill again
1 Attachment(s)
The same model as the last post, but found on a different site. It looks to be taken when she is of a similar age, so I assume it's the same watermill, but can't be certain.

The Naked Wheelie Podcast
1 Attachment(s)
A podcast about Harley bikes. This is the logo for the podcast, not identified, but I would guess at these wind turbines being from one of the Californian windfarms.
I can't identify the model of bike in the picture either! |

These come from a photoshot by a couple of photographers who together call themselves "Walkers on the Moon". They are possibly Czech, so this may be in the Czech Republic.

These 2018 photos are from the photoshoot for the 2019 Veterinary Naked Calendar, which I believe is for a vet school in Pretoria. A fine windpump features.
